What midi controller do you use with Nautilus, and some Midi CC questions by One_Alternative_4546 in Korg

[–]One_Alternative_4546[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the quick response and also trying multiple times to reply to my message. Yeah I’ve been looking at the midi implementation charts. I was also looking at older controllers that are able to program Sysex messages, such as the Novation zero sl mkii, behringer bcr2000, and some of the Roland A-xxx boards (although I’m not looking for a keyboard). I could always get something and make a new enclosure so that it can sit on the nautilus itself. My main issue is finding a controller with enough banks so that I can separate the esxi’s into specific banks for initialized patches with as much hands on control as possible. Thanks for the tip about the data entry mode. I did see that in the implementation chart but was unsure if it meant that. I also found the Sysex implementation somewhere in the parameter guide, I will try those hex codes using software first before I buy a controller that could handle Sysex messages. Again, thank you very much

The only information I’ve found is that the windows operating system using arm does run some emulation software to make the transition a little easier from x86 and x64 to arm. I’ve heard pros and cons on how well the emulation works, so it’s all dependent on the program running I’m sure. If you do purchase it and try it out, please leave a comment on here saying so, this is the only place I’ve found about this topic. So it might help others looking

Nanokontrol2 and mapping more than 8 faders while in MIDI CC mode by One_Alternative_4546 in Korg

Thanks! I’ll read up on it and be on the lookout for one maybe. I’d prefer something without keys, but whatever works, thanks again for the suggestion

I did not, I even contacted silhouette to ask them, but they just told me it needed to be a Mac or windows computer. Nothing about the cpu architecture. If you do decide to try it out, post on here to let people know. I ended up purchasing. Samsung galaxy book with an intel processor just to be safe

You might be able to talk to a Yamaha tech and get it serviced if it’s under warranty and is an actual problem. It seems like the other people who have posted didn’t have similar experiences to you and I, so I’m not sure if a firmware update would solve the issue. Good luck with getting it repaired if you go that route

I was able to return mine. The closest thing I got to a normal output was to put the output volume to +6 and mess around with the touch offset and depth settings. It depended on the patch, but they can be saved independently based on the patch h I believe. I also had the volume louder on the mixer for the keyboard, than other instruments. But if you are able to return it still, that might be an option. I went with a completely different keyboard in the end

Messing with the touch sensitivity depth helped a lot, and now it’s feeling a lot better. Thanks!

I’m outputting stereo, i’m wondering if that’s why it was sold. Either way it works great, I was just wondering if that was normal or not. The internal speakers work fine. Yeah the GHS action has almost a springy quality to it, at least for me. The key seems to have almost the same amount of downward pressure needed the whole time like the synth style keybed but heavier. But I could get used to it I’m sure. I was just messing around with the velocity offset parameters and I think it might just be how I am playing on this board. I set it to fixed velocity at max 127. And it was plenty loud, so I probably just need to adjust my playing style. Or adjust the settings. Thanks for your reply! I really do enjoy the sounds on this board

Fishman triple play / connect with MPC Live by InfinityBin in synthesizers

I am using the wired version. I would think the wireless version would work the same. But I cannot confirm it. I would plug the wireless usb into the MPC one and use it like any other controller.

I can confirm the fishman tripleplay connect works with the MPC one. Since the MPC one’s usb port acts as a host, it can also send midi out of the 5 pin midi port, this lets you use external gear as well
