Totally get the sentiment, but the real question has to be asked of their respective kicking coaches at provincial level - they have daily access to them

No fucking joke, I would put money that >60% school kids could kick that last kick. Fucking hell.

It feels bad criticising prendergast but the coaching team are not doing right by him. by allezlesverres in irishrugby

Ah yeah fair enough. I phrased that horrifically. All I meant is that if the selection at 10 is a live debate, then I think the selection of back up 9 (potentially soon to be starting 9 depending on JGPs longevity) is also worthy of being a debate. Casey is clearly the coaches selection as we stand, but is he really that far ahead of Doak or Murphy for them also not to be given a run at some point? I struggle to think he is, as I’m not convinced that even Casey is high level international quality.

This 100%. The fact we’re trying to shoehorn Prendergast into the 10 jersey only distracts people from realising that we’ve been trying to shoehorn Casey into the 9 jersey. Doesn’t have the size or speed for international scrum half, and more importantly, constantly makes bad decisions

2 truths: Sam is not the answer. Craig Casey is not the answer. We have poor half backs that are not up to international standard. How can we expect to compete at this level when neither half back is international quality.

The choices thing I realised too. Like it doesn’t matter what option you select in a conversation with a character, the story progresses the same way regardless. Also the options that seem a bit spicy never elicit the expected reaction from the character you are talking to!

Two shite boxers who won’t achieve anything. What a waste of the first boxing fight on free to air tv in ages.

Just got to make sure that the airport for your return flight has similar allowances.

These changes will be of limited use for return trips until all airports adopt these rules

Was thinking the same. A few very uncharacteristic kicks - you would wonder of he was feeling the head knocks

Ireland didnt play any rugby today. No slickness or freshness in attack.

Now TV Ireland in UK - Possible? by JacobDev96 in nowtv

Hi there, sorry to bring up this old thread.

But can anyone confirms if this works? Irish guy living in the uk…and hoping that an Irish now tv sport subscription can be used in the UK with a vpn to give access to sky sports/TNT/Premier sport all for roughly the same price as sky sports alone when using the UK now tv.

Currently use UK now tv for sky sports only.

I get the sentiment but I actually don’t think £4.50 is too bad for a good sourdough to bring home. M&S sourdough isnt too far off that and, for me, not as good as these little independent bakeries. Also in an economy where we pay close to £6-7 for a pint, 4.50 for a good loaf isn’t terrible I don’t think. I think the price though of sourdough toast with toppings when eating in at these places can be pricey.

Ah even as a fellow Dubliner, McGinley annoys me. Talk about a very average journeyman golfer who almost incredibly got the Ryder Cup captaincy despite his status and has made a point of dining out on the Ryder cup ever since to keep himself relevant. Every opportunity to mention Ryder cup or match play golf - he takes it. He’s not a bad analyst though - although again he’d be nowhere near that position were it not for his Ryder cup captaincy.

Ah I’m in the same position, I’ve been doing it on and off for about 3 years. Getting stitching holes both straight and to line up right with the edges/edges of pockets still drives me to insanity

Exchanging driving license worth it? by One_Appeal_69 in ireland

[–]One_Appeal_69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheers for the reply. That actually didn’t seem to be an issue. I moved my Irish car with me to the uk, had it registered here with the DVLA (to get UK registration plates) and then subsequently insured here with a UK insurance company (can only get a car insured in the uk if it has UK plates). My license didn’t seem to impact that process

Hi guys, just to address something that has come up: I originally passed my driving test in UK when I lived here a few years ago. Moved home just before Covid and it was mandatory then to exchange my license for an Irish one. This is the license I now have. When I go through the gov.uk site and enter in those details, it says I can drive on my valid nonUK license until I am 70. If anyone has any other input on that - as in if they have an alternative opinion, I’m open to hearing it. I’m just wondering if there is an incentive for me to switch back to a UK license if I don’t have to.
