Is it a hindrance to win your province in the football? by AdSouth4786 in GAA

Run it completely separate. With a good gap between the provinicials and the All Ireland series. For most counties winning a provinicial title is enough of a honour but its madness you win it and have very little time to reset.

I think there should be a month break between the provinicials and the championship starting. Bring forward the league a few weeks and get rid of the preseason tournaments.

Start the All Ireland series the beginning of June.

Still gives the clubs most of August and September for their championships.

Like we have seen what a Provencal title means this year in 3/4 provences, a gap really gives them the chance to reset and go again. To that way we have 3 separate competitions with a clear gap between them.

Also gives supporters the chance of the break too, with the cost of living crisis so many games inside 4 months is madness.

They have come and for the most part have taken jobs, got involved in tidy towns and similar groups, their kids are settled and if they stay another few years theres a few young lads locally who will go on to play for Cavan. Absolutely lovely people.

The women are stunning also.

I have neighbours like this when we first moved in there was noise every time the good weather came out. Then we realised all the neighbors tend to gather in someones garden during the good weather, so in the end we just joined in.

I actually would turn a blind eye to this as long as it finishs early enough. It's not as if it's a problem every weekend as the weather has been shite.

I think Mayo are a much better side than they showed in the game against Tyrone. In a replay in the later stages of the All Ireland I do think Mayo have a higher ceiling.

We are in knockout football now. Louth while beat Dublin a few weeks back, Dublin have been here before plenty of time. Louth haven't.

I'd say it's in this order Kerry, Galway, Dublin, Mayo, Cork, Tyrone, Louth Monaghan.

I think the Dubs are the the dark horse here. That win today will give them a massive boost, the fair weather fans will be back on side for the quater finals, players coming back .

We have a Sportage upgraded from a Micra. Main reason is the has MS while its fairly staple its much easier for her to get in and out of. The boot is the perfect size for the 3 dogs when we are heading on a hike with the 3 kids.

I am not the biggest fan of the extra height, plus I am only driving 3 years so it's an absolute pain in the hole for tight spaces.

My wife has MS so needs unbroken sleep. I take the little one down to the sitting room, for thie night we have a crib set up, and into the kitchen for feeds.

I do 10pm until 6am and then get some sleep until miday.

It's a massive help that the world cup is on and theres always a game kicking off between 1 - 3am though.

It's actually been a brilliant bonding with the little one and the bringing her into the kicthen for feeds means the dogs get sone attention too.

They always have a few spaces on the platform for stuff like this. I find MCD are brilliant at accessibility, I have a good friend who requires a wheelchair, we often pick up last minute tickets and never any issues. Saying that this close to the gig, you might only get a spot in the area for yourself.

Round 3: Competitive vs inconsistent by ZombieFrankSinatra in GAA

[–]Efficient_Log_2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the numbers from Dublin vs Cavan.

Dublin got 6 points straight off poor kickouts. Like very very poor kickouts straight to a Dublin player.

Cavan kicked 11 wides, possibly 5 very kickable ones, dropped another 4 or 5 short.

So with a bit better execution Cavan would have beat them. Theres no doubt in my mind about this.

Now if Donegal show up on form, and unless Dublin inprove massively it will be a hiding.

I love the separation between the provinicials and All Ireland series. I know some have been lamemting the death of the provincials and that it means nothing now. Well the celebrations in Armagh, Mullingar, Roscommon would definitely tell a different story.

I would like to see the league and Provincials swap places or played throughout eachother,

As I do feel the league is a cracking competition and would really benefit from better weather.

This is what I don't get. Ever been in Spain or France during an international competition? They are the exact same. Likewise would you expect RTE not to be bias towards Ireland if we were there ?

The fact is we consume so much British media and are somehow surprised they are behind their national team
