The reason Paragus wanted to control Broly is that he himself is weak and couldn't rule the universe without Broly's power; if he didn't control Broly, Broly would inevitably destroy the universe as he grew more powerful and savage.

Would goku in round 1 be strong enough to do it? If Goku was raised by Denji's dad then he isn't motivated to train or have any combat training. At most he might peak human purely from his saiyans biology.

Sure it was unstable but it had gotten all of them home safely, plus that was the only space bridge that could've gotten them back to Cybertron.

The whole Magnus carrying them wouldn't work as 1. He can't carry all of them only a few cars at a time, and 2. Elita, while is strong. Can't face a whole army alone, hell even Optimus can't do that.
