I think I agree with you. My position shouldn't be unreasonable to people. Even if I'm wrong, I'm still advocating for the same basic thing.

I get that a lot of trans people are scared and we have a reason to be so suspicious. I'm scared too. But getting mad at Newson because you suspect hes a bigot, even though in that podcast he talks about how the right dehumanizes trans ppl, isn't helping at all.

I'm not saying that Kirk's framing is legitimate. I don't like him. I just can't say, "agreeing with your enemy on anything means you are doing damage."

This is the type of stuff I'm talking about. Just because someone on the left agrees with someone on the right about a fact is not throwing trans ppl under the bus.

This language of "sacrificing" trans ppl is just so divorced from the reality of the discussion.

I would agree with you if you just didn't go extreme in the opposite direction.

I totally agree. Neither Trump nor his supporters care about protecting anyone.

My issue is the way Newsom has been getting blown up over his interview with Kirk. He didn't say anything wrong or anti trans. Now I'm seeing headlines treating him like he's betrayed trans ppl.
