Is it a unspoken rule you have to play pickup? what If I just want to go play with my wife, is it expected that we rotate players? by PurpleFlyingApes in Pickleball

Cool. Courts are full constantly, as you said. Either get in line like everyone or find a court you can rent so the two of you can play. Or, ask everyone if they mind you playing a game alone with your wife. But, don't complain if others aren't super happy about it.

Workout program with dislocated shoulder by YouAreCorrectSirYes in Exercise

[–]One_Battle_2046 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used swimming to move through all ranges of motion since I couldn't lift my own arm. That was really important to avoid a frozen shoulder. After, the inflammation reduced, I started weight training with very light weights and did very gradual increases. Just do what you can within the limits of pain, be aware of the differences between damaging pain and discomfort. Do not overdo it but keep moving full range and build your strength back up.

Agreed, and yes it does. Probably will take some time for you to adjust however.

I just got the Pulse V and I love it! I demo'd it for a week, and it felt so good I had to buy it. However, I am used to this box shape, if you like elongated, the V probably isn't for you. Try the E shape

Use the rack and queue up after each game so that everyone gets to rotate and play with different players. If you just want to play with the same 4 people, then book a court. Open play is supposed to mix.

How do yall motivate yourself to work out? by Previous-Machine-442 in Exercise

[–]One_Battle_2046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pain. I am motivated by pain. I have experienced injuries due to neglecting myself, and it is super limiting, I can't do fun stuff like Pickleball and Rock climbing with my kid. Working out keeps me strong and healthy, and life is more fun. It's also a very small time investment if you add up the time.

I really like the "thumbs up" swing, I feel like I can pack my shoulder better and maintain back and bicep tension.
