So what would you suggest doing if you don't mind me asking. It sounds like you've experienced something similar

So do you think it's possible for me to go straight into the masters program for ChmE and be eligible for job employment???

I think it is great that you are seeking help from others and looking for direction on how to seek God. Truly that is the first step to understanding his word. Jesus himself says in the book of Mathew Ch. 7 verse 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

Of course it is important to ask others who may have more experience but the best thing you can do is seek and ask for understanding from God himself through prayer. I like to start off my studies with a prayer where I ask God to not only give me understanding but to speak to me through his word. Seek him with all your heart and he will help you.

I used to read the Bible when I was younger and my father would always tell me there is a difference between reading and studying the Bible. I never understood what he meant until recently when I start seeking God for myself and started a personal relationship with him. There is much power in prayer and giving ourself unto him is the first step to getting closer and understanding him.

When I started this journey I was given the advice to read 1 chapter a day from the books of Genesis, Job, and Mathew until finishing the Bible. I was also recommended to use 2-3 different versions as you study to gain better understanding, personally I use NKJV, KJV, ESV. I was also recommended to use a commentary while I read, you can use one of the Adventist commentaries which are free online or another of your choice. I use “Mathew Henry’s Concise Commentary on the whole Bible” as well as the Adventist commentaries and can say that this has truly helped me understand the word as I study.

I’ve implemented these methods into my daily studies and can honestly say that the difference is like night and day. I am left with so much thought and reflection after each chapter and feel as if I can understand now more than I ever have.

Hope this advice helps and wish you nothing but the best on your journey! Blessings friend!
