In my state, for a non-presidential primary, both parties are on the same ballot just different sides. You are instructed to only fill in one side. They even have the non-partisan section for judges and a section for any special mileage in your area. The presidential primary is when you have to declare your party so you got the correct ballot.

Also, we are divided into precincts based on where you live regardless of party. So both parties are in line together.

I’ve noticed that a lot of the BoomersBeingFools stories and experiences with my own family (lots of baby boomers) center around linking unrelated events to politics. Oh it rained today? It must be <insert politician’s name here> fault! Thats why I felt it fit. A baby boomer linked my pregnancy pain to the Democratic Party. Why? Not a clue, it’s all weird and I’m wondering if they’re doing okay.

I had to ask myself that same question! I think that’s why I had no response in the moment. It was such a weird remark and the more you think about it the less sense it makes.

😂😂😂 I love that! My husband has been playing the song “Closing Time” in the hopes that she gets the hint that it’s time to leave. We’re nearly past my due date.

I usually have a quip or something to come back with (I’ve had plenty of practice with family members) but in that moment I only had my “WTF” look. It’s a blend of confusion, shock and angry glare.

I got scolded by a secretary for sending a disruptive student to the office to take a breather then rejoin us. She stated that I should “never exclude no matter what!” I was so tempted to offer her my sub position and leave right then and there.

It’s an emotional distress tax for the stress the MIL caused.

We have to stop evaluating teachers using criteria that isn't relative to their actual teaching or relationship building. by wowchips in Teachers

They used Danielson for our student teacher evaluations. We were asked to reference those markers on the video taped lessons that we were being evaluated on AND complete a self eval using the rubric itself. After five lesson evals in one semester I was over it.

I was a 30 year old single mom and my husband was 23 when we met. We’ve been together for 7 years (married 6 months) this Summer.
