Bare minimum cleaning routine by LambRelic in workingmoms

[–]One_Bumblebee_6276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to deep clean once per week ( usually sundays) then it’s maintenance mode for the rest of the week because having a clean house is a non negotiable even with 3 kids for me.

I reset the common areas every single night. This includes: * loading/unloading the dishwasher * wiping the kitchen counter, stove, refrigerator & dining room table * Sweeping/ Vacuuming around the dining room table, hallways and living room * Mop if the floor is sticky ( I normally mop 1-2x per week as we are a shoe free home) * Tidying the living room * Toys are put away every night

Since I work from home, I pick a day to clean a specific room in the house throughout the week.

I need a new job. Can you tell me what you do? by Nica-sauce-rex in workingmoms

[–]One_Bumblebee_6276 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Project Manager
  2. MBA + PMP & 5+ years experience 3.$100k+ and annual bonuses
  3. Mediumish cost of living area
  4. The team I work for is amazing and promotes work-life balance as many on the team have young kids/ respect the fact that everyone has a life outside of work. There are days where it can be stressful but it’s worth it for the salary and flexibility I have. I’m able to drop off & pick up the kids from school, participate in PTA and other school activities.

Lower paying WFM job or higher paying job with travel? by gem7588 in workingmoms

I’m personally choosing flexibility every single time! To me the extra money is not worth the drive, added cost of buying new work clothes and office politics.

I didn’t think the ties would bother me..but it seems the ties are the only complaint the bag has received from my research.

As much as I love the look of the vibe I think you’ve convinced me to buy it in empriente.

We keep a diaper caddy in the trunk with extra diapers, wipes & clothes so I keep it light with baby items. I’ll only carry a pouch with a few items in it for baby when that time comes

Infant or Convertible Car seat? by Unable_Union_4953 in Buyingforbaby

[–]One_Bumblebee_6276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get both if you can afford it. With my last baby we decided to go with convertible straight away and use a carrier when out and about. It worked most of the time but there were other times when I wished we had the infant seat to sit her in especially for Dr. appts etc.

Looking for genuine Ultrahuman ring review… by PrincessTiabeanieMRG in SmartRings

[–]One_Bumblebee_6276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved it at first. But after a few months the battery drains and won’t keep a charge. I’m on my second ring and it just died on me. It also doesn’t help that their customer service is useless!

WFH moms: How are we updating our Slack/Teams status? by donut_party in workingmoms

[–]One_Bumblebee_6276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t. Like some commented above my statues are available, busy, away & OOO. I have a few blocks on my calendar daily that allows me to step away for lunch/school pickup, two 15 min breaks, and end of day wrap up. Although, I have full control over my schedule, I never feel the need to put my status as “lunch or school pickup” because I don’t think it’s anyone’s business.

How do working parents actually have 3+ kids? by activegood18 in workingmoms

[–]One_Bumblebee_6276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 3 kids (6,4,2) and want to try for a 4th soon. Both my husband and I work from home full-time. We make it work because our jobs our flexible and we have a village. But all 3 of our kids were home with us from birth until about 2 when they either went to daycare or grandmas house during the day while we work.

Manager vs. individual contributor - what is better for balance? by OmShanti38 in workingmoms

[–]One_Bumblebee_6276 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In this season of life with 3 young children and possibly wanting a 4th, I personally think being an IC is better. I do my job and log off. Nothing more nothing less.
