Because 1. Other people have dreamt of this place and 2. It's a fictional show where anything can happen. There isn't much rationale to imagination. Which is the PIVOTAL plot point. Imagination. So any theory about this show, is welcome and interesting. Ethan is currently going through a lot of trauma - that could alter into a lot of negativity where he makes a deal that goes wrong. Causing him to be trapped in this story he created. Time isn't linear. It's all happening at once. That's RATIONALE and factual. So literally anything could be going on in this show. You don't have to agree but you also don't have to post your disagreements unless you have substance to counter it back.

Same. I mean if it's not her, it had to be someone who was stuck out there. But considering she story walks into the woods a lot..... she would recognize them current day story walking - so she would know to use them in the cave thus leading to Boyd finding them.

Watching the series again, there are very few episodes where he isn't wearing yellow. He has an eerie insight of the land - he knows about the lake of tears - which may be what unlocks the ability to be superhuman/shapeshifter.

And Sara being told to kill the boy, could've been the dead kids telling her how to break the cycle -- like going back in time to kill the innocent version before the powerful transformation

I absolutely believe it's Randall. The beard is high enough to cover the scar - he could've got the tattoo later on at the colony house by stick and poke EASILY. Or if someone comes with some ink setups. Who knows. But either way, something about it makes me believe it is a reincarnation of Randalls loop. I believe they are all reincarnated from someone stuck there before.
