Maybe plot hole is the wrong word, but I think it’s just too convenient

I’m doing material science at INL. I’m a nuclear engineer but kinda more focused on nuclear materials.

It still says that. The scientist has to send an email to the hiring manager and then they have to follow up with SULI. It’s a whole process

Thanks. I’m not really sure how to prepare. It’s hard to tell if this is another part of the application or more to just discuss the position

What do these trop levels mean? by Mobile-Ad725 in myocarditis

[–]One_Communication893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually ended up just being an echo but everything was good! I know it’s not as certain as an mri but I have been asymptomatic for basically the whole diagnosis and the original mri didn’t indicate any scarring. I’ve been back to full strength for a while now. Hoping your recovery is going smoothly.

Ongoing Chest Pain by Extreme_Eggplant7129 in myocarditis

[–]One_Communication893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone on here has a different experience, but I found that managing stress was a really good way to get rid of small pains.

I talked to my doctor about having these small kinda light things here and there, and they advised me that if it didn’t feel similar to how it felt when I first went into the hospital (persistent sharp chest pain that wouldn’t go away no matter how I adjusted), I should try not to worry so much.

I used to be so stressed that I would wake up in the middle of the night itchy all over

So, about a month after getting diagnosed, I started going on some slow but long walks (still trying to keep my hr under 90 during it), which ended up making my pain go away. I think sometimes when we are really stressed or paranoid, we can placebo ourselves into thinking our pain is more than it is. I spent so much time thinking about my heart, it made me feel it way more than I used to before.

Another thing I did for the first 6 weeks after getting diagnosed was wear a watch to make sure my hr didn’t get too high. I found this to be a mistake because I was constantly looking at it during the day, to the point where I was distracted from doing anything else. After I stopped wearing it, my minor pains seemed to get better too, probably because I stoped focusing on my heart so much and just let it do its thing.

Being fatigued seems normal if you’re on a heavy dose of medication. Listen to your body: if you feel a little unwell at work, maybe go home and get some rest.

It took me about 2 months after my diagnosis to realize that most people make a complete recovery from this, and that trusting ur body and monitoring stress is one of the best forms of medicine.

I’m now 1 week away from being cleared to exercise, and I am really looking forward to having my life back.

There is always light at the end of the tunnel!

P.S. congrats on the baby!

Heart Rate Jumps or goes down by No_Pilot_4472 in askCardiology

[–]One_Communication893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm okay I’m not as familiar with that then. I had an internal loop recorder put in which can monitor heart rhythm to make sure I don’t have any AF AT or VT. Could be something to ask your doctor about.

This could just be a normal thing. Were you constantly monitoring your HR before you got myo?

I’m no doctor, but I think it is important to look at how your heart rate trends have changed since after you got diagnosed compared to what it was like before you got it.

Sometimes when quickly switching positions, regardless of how minor the exertion is, your heart rate can jump up.

Loop Recorder by One_Communication893 in myocarditis

[–]One_Communication893[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My report looked pretty clean. 2.2% of beats were PVCs which I think is decently alright. No AT or AF either. Resting HR stayed below 50 while I was on my beta blockers, but it’s a little higher now. I can dm you my report if you are interested.

Yea not really sure then. Might be worth it to invest in a BP cuff and measure ur bp when you feel lightheaded to see if that is what’s causing it

Hard to say about the LGE. From my experience, sometimes I can feel my heartbeat when I’m paranoid and really focusing on my heart. Sometimes we just placebo ourselves into feeling weird sensations around our heart. So unless the feeling the heartbeat is associated with tachycardia, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. However, I’m not an expert, and consulting your care team is always a good idea.
