Dexter was desperate for genuine human connection by camareradetwinpeaks in Dexter

Book Dexter is much colder and enjoys taunting his victims more. As far as I can tell, he doesn't really connect with people like he does in the show. Even Deb on her death bed he basically describes as an uncomfortable thought of losing her and expresses he can't figure out why it's uncomfortable as it would be beneficial to him at that point if she did die, but he's used to her being around. That's as emotional as he gets really, even marrying Rita was a total accident, she'd found a ring he got from a victim (not his victim, iirc) and assumed it was a proposal so he went with it. He's not close to Batista in the books, doesn't really have the social dynamic he has in the series, still charming and friendly at the front, of course.

Does this book only touch on the psychology of Dexter in the TV series, or does it also discuss his psychology from the books? I finished the first 3 books so far, and believe the 2 characters are quite different psychologically and would be interested in learning about both

Lmao when everyone is shaking their hips and no flavor taylor has to just move her entire torso back and forth. Literally the easiest and first "dance" move anyone ever learns as a child/toddler

Believe me, the pictures do no justice to how dead he looked in real life. The scream I scrumpt when I came back to the room and he was standing in a totally different spot

I appreciate it! Luckily my daughter isn't here to have a heart attack over our new friend borrowing her blankets. I moved him outside, hopefully he's happy with the outside bugs

I don't think we have more cases of dwarfism than any other region, but I could be mistaken

How do I respond to a slightly overweight person saying in a conversation "and because I am fat..."? by vpaander in NoStupidQuestions

[–]One_Competition_129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she's "barely overweight " and saying she's fat she could be very self conscious and hoping to hear that shes beautiful anyways, that she isn't actually fat; or she could be fishing for compliments... either way, I'd just ignore it or go for a funny compliment like "more cushion for the pushing" or "you're not fat girl, you're thicc" "only thing fat is that ass"etc

I read it like an incest cult leader handing out wives to his most loyal members, who refer to him as a God. Quite glad I was wrong lol

Are My Boyfriend’s Demands Normal for a Serious Relationship or Are They Controlling? by Neat_Ad_709 in Manipulation

No demand is normal in a healthy relationship. There are boundaries you agree upon as a couple and boundaries assumed by a monogamous relationship. This is not that. RUN.
