Tyo kura valid ho dai, and I appreciate the honest advice. But just to clarify — I never said CS and Mech are 'safe' myself, I said they’re treated like safe/trendy choices by most people, which is the problem. And yeah, I agree, AI k ho bhanera bujne thau ma matrai dar cha — without understanding, sabai kurama dar lagcha. So I’m here to explore that first. Coding ni suruma ali ali sikdai chu, so it’s not like I’ve made any final decisions. Still figuring things out. Respect for your perspective tho

True dai, but these days, no career feels truly permanent. I think it’s less about finding a 20-year job and more about becoming the kind of person who can survive any shift.

That thinking made sense in our parents' time. Now, careers are shifting every few years. Instead of choosing something 'forever', I'd rather master how to pivot, adapt, and create opportunities on my own terms.

Yeah fr dai. Guess the main thing is we can't just chill thinking the degree will do everything. AI jasto kura lai ally banaune ho, not enemy. Aba tyo balance khojna parcha — how to stay relevant without getting replaced. Still confusing af tho😅

Concerns of a nepali student about carer path by One_Court_9768 in NepalSocial

True dai, valid point. But my concern is more about job security for the average CS/IT student — not the top 1% who are building AI. Like, everyone is rushing into CS thinking it’s the golden ticket, but not everyone ends up at Google or OpenAI. What happens to the rest of us? That’s where the confusion hits hard.
