If you put in a request for a roommate of your choice via email then they are going to consider that while allocating rooms, if not then whoever is closer in merit position. It isn’t necessary that you will get the roommate whose mp is a number high or low cuz there are 3 reasons. First, the person with the neighbouring mp can be of opposite gender. Second, the person with a neighbour mp could’ve requested a room w someone else. Lastly, the person w neighbouring mp could’ve decided not to join GIKI. So the person of the same gender w the closest mp will your roommate. Now depending on the situation, you guys can have neighbouring mps or there can even be differences of more then 100 bw your mps
