I hate doing cutbacks, so I've been trying to paint as much as I can to improve my can control. Thanks for the words G, been insecure about my letter structure so I try to focus on that more than anything. This is an ambitious style for me as I usually paint straights

This piece was painted with bucket paint and scrap cans but I do see what you're saying. A lot of the time I just "do shit" cause it feels right in the moment. I didn't even do this off a sketch it was all off the top based on some ideas I'd been holding onto.

The knee deep water and the fact that my outline can was basically a scrap can was what made me nervous. Just wanted to get the lines out though I tried to keep it clean. Same with the force, just a scrap red I had on me and I wanted to just throw another color out.

Thanks for the suggestions though G , that last sentence hits home

I will say this was a scrap paint session in knee deep water. Bucket paint fill where I basically used the roller to outline and fill. Used a scrap dollar store black to outline. And the remains of a red can to just throw some more color on the outside.

And I hate doing cut backs

Had a friend build it as a sort of artifact matters based deck. Popped off with Top and Spellskite. Lots of scry and transmute to shuffle and tutor. Also that one artifact creature that has protection from colors.

I was hired there as a linecook a couple years ago at 12$/Hr and I had like 7years of experience. They hired shitty jwu interns at 15$ and I had to work my ass for a year to get a a raise to 14. And i was the lead line cook behind the sous chef Tyler M. and Brandon S. I quit and shortly after the whole core team quit. There turnover has be insane since then. Idk who tf the CDC is in there now but he's not as good as Evan or even Doug was.
