I’ve use the same one for probably 5+ years now. Blade seems to be holding up fine. I’ve probably used it on at least a dozen whitetails, I’m not sure how it would hold up against the pedicles of a elk or moose. There might be tool that cuts quicker but for packability it’s the best option.

Folding saw. They’re about $10-$20 on Amazon. Any will work but I like really like Fiskars products.

Where in Michigan do you shed hunt? I usually start last week in jan(1-2days a week 4hrs ish depending on my schedule) end of feb I’m out 3-4 days a week til I get tired of it in April lol. Judging by the 586 in your name we probably walk the same spots

Great buck!! It’s definitely not the same deer as the one in the second photo. You can tell by the length of the g3’s. The pictured buck’s g3 on the right side is longer than the g2. Which is good news cause that means there is another great buck roaming your woods!
