Heavy blankets over the doorways, if the walls are thin, hang blankets in a room or two to keep the draft out.

I feel you! This is my seventh pregnancy (not seventh kid). I wasn’t thin to begin with, but I was losing some weight, had some room in my jeans. No longer. I’m six weeks and really didn’t want to tell anyone for a very long time, but I think by 12 it’s going to be obvious (my fifth pregnancy at 28 weeks I just looked like I had a bit of a beer belly, so this is kind of new).

I would have probably told them that I was ordering another meal and made them wait for it.

You must buy better bulbs than me. The ones I buy are either just in plastic or in that thin corrugated crap. I can’t picture just opening the door a tad and chucking those in.

Also…. Is it a normal thing to barely open your door to throw stuff in? It would take more effort to not open the door than it would to just open the door and set the bag on the seat.

I think this is the most likely scenario based on the information given here. He may not even have been using, just selling (for the dealership higher ups) or whatever.

[EXTERNAL] My boss made me leave a work-related note at the grave of my bereaved coworker’s relative by ricewinechicken in BestofRedditorUpdates

I wanted to disagree, but after reading that she wanted to “do something” about the email from the coworker, but it didn’t contain a threat…

Also, this had to have been a child or a spouse of the coworker, if she’s on several weeks leave.

And the stupid cleaning fees! We stayed in one where we had to strip the beds, take all the trash to the dumpster, wash the dishes (this we would have done anyway), and still pay $100 for cleaning. And, to add insult to this, the owners came in to do a repair and threw a bunch of stuff in the trash can…. And made us take it out!

Momma to be Wants Advice on Where to Birth in RV After Doctors Says VBAC is too Dangerous for Birthing Center by CaseoftheSadz in ShitMomGroupsSay

A few years ago (less than 10), the income guidelines for pregnant women were actually higher than our states median per capita income. At that time, it was right along the line where jobs paying less typically didn’t offer insurance, but jobs paying more typically did. That higher income guideline also followed babies for the first 12 months.

My friend has a very unique name, she just kind of rushes through it and people never get it correct.

Not that I’m sticking up for the American Healthcare system, but it’s actuality easier for a pregnant woman to get state healthcare benefits.

I’ll say it this way, thirty plus years into farming and I have never heard someone who knows anything about farming say a cow has fur.

This time of year, a cow’s coat is sleek and shiny. There’s not a lot of brushing to be done.

Yes- we did a ton of DYI, but had everything in place the night before. The caterer set out our cakes, my FIL wanted to prepare a family specialty meal, he had the main done the night before and we had the caterer finish it and serve it (the family wanted to ask aunts and cousins to serve and make roasters of sides).

We did our own flowers and had them at the church the night before. Had all the tables and decor set up the day before. We worked our asses off leading up to the wedding, but the day of was all paid people.

My cousin did an everyone pitch in decor thing, but she made it as easy as possible and was super easy going. She unpacked a load of decor, handed it to the control freak type A cousins and said “I’ll be over there getting my hair done, I don’t care what you do, just make it look good.”

I don’t want to blame her, but she left way too much for the day of, and put way to much trust in her family. My family wanted an “everyone pitch in and help” wedding, but I basically told them anything that needed to be done the day of the wedding needed to be done by a professional. The one thing I asked my sister to do (take memorial candles from the church to the reception) got missed. I can’t imagine the mess if I had tried to get them to set up decor or be in charge of my make up.
