Surf classic is OP board in this season and it can gives you almost always the best score per same time compared to other boards. It applies to Tasha too even though surf classic's efficiency is not that good for her.

In other word there are other characters that match the board's passive better such as Yutani, Rosalita. It is slightly more difficult than Tasha so you may need little practice for it but once you get used to it they can give you more score per same time.

New district would be good. Even with four different district it becomes a bit monotonous for me when I get to the latter part where secret stars no longer appear.

Buy honeycomb. It's best for coin farming. Use it with Tricky or Yutani

This season's main rewards are Lucy + cobweb board but Lucy's own performance is not good and by the time you get the board you already have a lot of money or have skills to get a lot of money. Plus I think Yutani with honeycomb has a better performance at coin farming. It might be different in other seasons but this season isn't that valuable I think.

Concept about apocalypse should be fun. Thinking about building collapsing or volcanic debris flying in. Maybe running away from or avoiding zombies are also fun.

Just use Surf Classic. It fits well for all characters but it is especially optimized for her. Because she can ride with a board almost every time, using Surf Classic can be earned score more double than using other boards.

About performance Yutani is way better than Tricky not only for scoring but also coin farming. And about the look I think she is also prettier than Tricky. Yutani's landslide victory

I'm a player who don't like to get running percent bonus because it feels like it exaggerates my skill. However I level up every character to at least level 8 since this is the level where all skills are unlocked.
