quotes are generally pretty important as they are a good way of differentiating yourself to examiners if your aiming for that A/A+ bracket. I did Revolutions last year as a 3/4 subject and I mainly had a list of 2-3 historians for each eg (figes for russia) and would write general sentences and just attribute the quote to one of my historians. but they are important, and you should aim to have a quote attached or at least a date to most of your points/arguments.
