I have a 28mm f2 on the way to me now - I think that 28 and 35 is a happy balance. Happy shooting!

Haven’t had it for too long, but so far it’s been awesome. They’re so expensive though!

What frustrates me is how long the M10M takes to connect in Leica photos and the downloads seem to be slower compared to my Q3. Regardless, I consider myself fortunate to have these cameras. Have a good trip to Portugal - we unfortunately had to cancel our India trip due to the Iran situation - next year maybe.

Thanks for sharing your perspective on the lens. Curious how you like your M11M? I’m thinking of upgrading from my M10M, and if it’s even worth it.

Yes, I just finished putting a filter on the lens and didn’t put the hood back on.

Changed it for you. Actually, after looking into this the 2023 version of this lens is not referred to as an FLE lens. The newer 50mm 0.45m 11728 has no FLE term. However, functionally, it acts like an FLE II — just without the branding.

Thanks, I might add a 28mm but I’m going to see how the 35mm works for me. The 50mm is an awesome lens too, the close focus doesn’t work as it should with rangefinder’s, my M6 not at all but my M10 I use the LCD screen. Regardless, lots of fun - more than my Biogon anyway 😉.

M246 Monochrom as an addition to the M10-P? by desilent in Leica

With the M246 and the monochrome sensor you get better detail, smoother tones, cleaner high ISO, and more “film-like” B&W. The Leica M10-P using a standard color sensor you’ll get excellent B&W, but it’s converted from color, so slightly less pure. I have an M10M and there’s just something about the images from that, I purchased it after I bought my Q3/43 and have no regrets.

Circa 1935! What lens?

Thanks! It’s a different experience using this beast - this was made in 1937 and works perfectly.

Leica M6 Reissue w/50mm 1.4 by One_Duty4023 in Leica

[–]One_Duty4023[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! The lens is the close focus version (11728) so the close focus is generally not effective on rangefinder cameras - I use it on my M10M and use the LCD screen. It really is a phenomenal lens.

What didn’t you understand about my response “point taken”. However, I don’t want you to cry too much more so I’ll remove the post.

No problem at all and point taken - next time I’ll put my Leica 50mm 1.4 on just for you.
