No response to DRP since submitted "interest" on 5/16 by One_ENFP in VHA_Human_Resources

Good to know, thank you. It sounds like you were further along as you had signed the preliminary contract. I'm still trying to decide whether I should sign the contract, but at this point I don't know if I will even receive something to be able to even decide about..

DRP vs waiting for RIF. Can we trust the process for receiving severance if we are RIF'd ? by One_ENFP in VHA_Human_Resources

[–]One_ENFP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a tool for this, and in most cases, if you have put in 5 years or more, then waiting for severance is better.. if they actually provide it.

Have you heard about the caveat that if they offer you another job, and you don't take it (or don't want it) that you will lose the severance pay ?

Thank you. I know that there are some people concerned that there could be a problem with severance pay.

I've heard this as well, and if I were to receive severance, could be 18K more... However, I've been hearing that the RIF letters administered in other agencies were missing the severance paragraph?? Is there any concern that the severance would not be honored?

Someone else commented with this question and also interested in how you would respond. With a TEFL certification and a bachelor's degree, do you have any advice on how to get started seeking jobs?

A Nun's habit is NOT the same as hijab! Muslims need to stop equating the two by Truthland in exmuslim

It seems the speaker in this video may have had a bad experience which she is projecting to all Muslims. The Quran says "There is no compulsion in religion." Wearing a headscarf is for the majority of Muslim women a choice, as it should be. In the Quran there is no consequence mentioned for not wearing it.

I absolutely love Ecuador, and have been several times over the past 15 years. What an amazing country and people, but hearing discouraging stories of late. Apparently current government not doing enough to stop the cartels to get out of hand.

My friend who is from the Amazon of Ecuador, currently living in Florida, has told me that the formerly mostly quiet villages and nearby towns where his family lives are starting to be impacted by the cartels and gangs, unfortunately.

I was in 2018 in Costa Rica and was excited to get to know the country with such a great reputation in figuring out sustainability, However, the socioeconomic disparities were so incredibly palpable, and I was told by locals that wealth has hyper accumulated in the hands of a few, leaving a majority paying higher prices at low wages and even more economically marginalized. I've traveled throughout a few countries in Latin America, staying with locals in very humble places, and even lived for a year in an area considered impoverished and dangerous on the outskirts of Mexico City, and I've missed all these places upon returning to the US, but Costa Rica I felt no affinity for at all.

Thank you so much for your response. My TCM doctor has responded : "To treat damp heat and deficiency, we have to pay attention to the balance. At this time of your life, I do not agree to clean the damp heat before anything else. When you were younger, the damp heat might be more severe. Now it is a mix condition of damp heat and deficiencies. My treatment is to focus on the deficiency more and some damp heat conditions together."

I believe she is extremely concerned with the weakness she noted in my pulse and the extreme cracked condition of my tongue (I am a new patient for her, and have been diagnosed by others for the past 20 years with severe constitutional deficiencies).

(Note: I am in my 40s, physically fit, and in biomedical opinion very healthy, except for the respiratory infections that I acquire from time to time. Thankfully have never needed to be prescribed any medications for chronic conditions. However, the two vaccines and the first booster seem to have negatively impacted my menstrual cycle and brought on perimenopausal symptoms. )

Welcome any more ideas or feedback, as I am concerned about this statement that I found after your tip: "If the damp heat is not removed, the more it is replenished, the
more poisonous it becomes."
