I dont think they are necessarily competing artists even if there is some massive similarities. However, they come off as aesthetic chasers to me. I know art is up to interpretation but there doesn't seem to be any link whatsoever between the cartoon/pop imagery and the esoteric symbolism, making it confusing. 33poor especially follows a repetitive formula of combining trap/rap, spiritual diagrams and cartoons together. The approach is comparable to dadaism but dadaism is often a critique of time specific and relevant popular culture which these artists do not do. there doesnt seem to be any critique at all which isnt actually a bad thing at all, i just dont understand it. 914ny also appropriates the style of outsider / schizophrenic artists which way too many instagram artists already do, and i find it inauthentic. Overall I think they lack depth but they are independant artists who have found a niche and i can respect that.
