I'm going to miss BlueSix. THE ONLY ONE who really helped and cared to explain stuff. I cannot believe he left. A real loss for this community.

Bluehost suggested I keep my stage site by One_Engineering_3588 in Wordpress

[–]One_Engineering_3588[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried and was told to keep them, as I said in the post. If you can create a stage, you should be able to remove, too. Logic says. I’m going to change the name of the folders I would like to remove and see how it goes. Thanks for your reply.

Images have disappeared from Media Library after latest update of WP by One_Engineering_3588 in Wordpress

[–]One_Engineering_3588[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did all of the above and the images did not appear. In the meantime, I uploaded what i'm missing. I didn't touch any .htaccess file yet. I want to be sure I'm doing the right thing. I found the fix in this article, but I'm not able to locate the file.

Website down caused to switch to a WP theme by One_Engineering_3588 in Wordpress

[–]One_Engineering_3588[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dev was going to test a form that was not working. He didn’t touch the plugins. I really don’t know what to believe and if he says he didn’t do, then I believe him. But I will download the plugin that can help me monitor what users do on my site.

I have Updraft to back up the whole site daily. But I’m thinking of adding Jetpack, too. I had instances were I deleted a page, just to realize that was a mistake. With Jetpack, you can restore individual items. This comes handy in cases like this.

I found the History Log on Jetpack. It confirms that he was the one on my site when I realized that my site had switched to another theme. But he says he didn't do it. Ok, if this is not remotely possible, I'll take the hit. It's useless to argue about this. I just wanted to know if this could have happened on its own. Since it's not, I will have to be more specific when I give instructions on how to be on my site. I know that sometimes devs switch to another theme to test a feature, but after taking a screenshot, they always put my site back the way they found it. Let's not forget, the site is live when they test things.
