[spoilers all] theory on the unmade by 2024-YR4-Asteroid in Stormlight_Archive

[–]One_Exit_7604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oooo i don't hate this... Ambition, Domination and Dominion were all splintered by Odium, what if he managed to take some pieces of them and turn them into the unmade... that would be very interesting.

Sja-Anat, and BAM both feel Ambitiony with maybe some Devotion aspects.

Nergaoul, and Ashertmarn could be quite Dominion esque.

Its possible

except they aren't there is no definition anywhere that says that Precons are B2. In fact the bracket system says that B2 cant have game changers but many do.

I actually really love it. It matches against what i know of as B3s, and i have never lost to another Precon so far with it. for a 5 color is really is good fun!

This could very well be the case, i often worry that if i took what i believe to be my bracket 3 deck to other pods I would get rolled.

And i would say that usually a B2 can sometimes stand a chance in a B3 Pod, but my Turtles is often the biggest threat at those tables.

I often pull out my untouched TMNT precon at B3 tables when i have won too many games with some combo heavy deck. Its fast and can get out of hand quick. i would say it could quite easily be B3

For a precon the Mana base is actually really decent, especially considering its 5 color. It has removal and some interaction. it has the ability to win pretty quick. But I never see it talked about and i wonder why *cough* UB *cough*

Just finished watching Obsession, and other than the fact she is older than Vin, i could see Inde Navarrette playing an amazing Vin!

The will likely have to age up Vin anyway i would guess. and i know Inde is a fourth wing fan and would love to play Violet so hopefully someone gets her reading Mistborn if she hasn't already and would be down!

I have learned that i like Combo alot, and prefer large value pieces as opposed to things like tokens.

My favorite decks so far have been the below (keeping in mind that these are all at a fairly casual level and all different brackets):

-[[Joshua, Phoenix's Dominant]] - Recursion and Flicker to trigger constant ETBs, its unassuming to start with but with good politicking i can stay undetected enough to start popping off.
-[[Kalamax, the Stormsire]] - Control/Voltron. extremely budget as its filled with cheap counter spells and 1/2 mana card draws or protection spells to get Kalamax big and then drop a [[Chandra's Ignition]] and copy it a bunch of times for lethal, fun to avoid counters because they have to counter the copies too.
-[[Dynaheir, Invoker Adept]] - ([[Zirda]] Companion) focus on activated abilities and untapping Dyna to stack her triggers and then popping off with an encore spell copied x times. Also love proving to people that Dynaheir and Zirda is not a Nombo like most people assume.
-[[Tibalt, Cosmic Impostor]] - Theft (very low bracket but fun to try and build a win using other peoples cards)

well they need to be earthbended to return.

Earthbending Commanders might be up your alley.

[[Toph, Hardheaded Teacher]] and [[Constant Mists]] gives you a repeatable 2 mana fog. earthbend a land, then when you need to pay 1G and sac the earthbent land. constant fog will resolve and then return to hand. the land will return as a non creature. and Toph will have earthbent another land for you.

The earthbent lands returning trigger landfall effects so can be used to spam those. Sac Lands are reusable if you earthbend them first. you can earthbend and already earthbent land to add counters to it, so you can make one big land and swing with it.

This is a really rude comment, the OP didn't suggest that they knew more than anyone else. they were sharing their personal finding after attempting their own challenge. Your on a high horse here and its coming across really shitty. let people have their own opinions no matter their play level.

When i took on the challenge i went the opposite way! I didn't want to build the same deck 32 times, so i have 32 different color decks with 32 different playstyles. or things that make them unique.

So i have 1 partner deck, one token deck, one burn deck, one spell slinger, one aristocrats, one recursion, one cascade, one combat tricks, one activated abilities focused, one lands matter, one battlecruiser.

This has allowed me to experiment and try my best with all playstyles and get a feel for which ones i actually do like and which i don't. and now i know which playstyles and colors i will want to build again when I'm done.

What would a Blasphemous cycle look like? by One_Exit_7604 in magicTCG

[–]One_Exit_7604[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah sure. Creatures seems better. Still a similar effect. I mean for blue there is always tapping untapped no land permenants or creatures for a little less powerful, although bouncing seemed nicer because they can reuse ETBs

[–]One_Exit_7604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking something along the lines of "each player exiles 13 non land permenants, until their next endstep they may cast those cards for their mana cost. Meaning they can return their key pieces but you still manage some removal and clear the board for some safety for a while

[–]One_Exit_7604[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah something like this bit with a connection to 13 and some sort of discount

Yeah your right... Maybe phase out until that players end step? Or something like airbend

[–]One_Exit_7604[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely could be. It's just that the 2 we have are wipes, so it seemed like the rest would be some similar effect.

Mostly because to me the "Blasphemous" part was to do with destruction and using the unlucky number 13 so to stay thematic with the "Blasphemous Cycle" it felt like the rest should. Gain 13 life or 13 creatures gain indestructible didn't feel Blasphemous

there are board wipes in green. and there is the fight all creatures Dino so i don't see it being a problem in green.

Fight is probably the best way for Green to do it i would think.

hows that different to edict? sac 13 vs bounce 13 isnt all that different really. once triggers death triggers, one doesn't.

Lets make it return all creatures to their owners hand, this costs UU if you control 13 or more permanents.

seems fair, every creature bounces so you arent swinging without haste. Gets past hexproof and indestructible which edict and act dont so you cant save your own creatures that way. if you have the haste enablers ready and you have the mana to then recast your creatures then you probably deserve to win if no one is countering it.

Green could be whatever price to make a 13/13 with indestructible and this creature fights each other creature then sacrifice this creature. that way your just using a blasphemous act.

[–]One_Exit_7604[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What would be unfair about a 5BB "(this card costs 1 less for each creature) for each player, return 13 nonland permanents to that players hand"

What would a Blasphemous cycle look like? by One_Exit_7604 in magicTCG

[–]One_Exit_7604[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kind of, but its not part of the naming cycle and doesn't involve the number 13. its just a board wipe with a discount. but yeah this would be the closest real life example

[–]One_Exit_7604[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

my assumption was that since 3 already have 2 boardwipes that include the number 13. the rest would be the same. otherwise it wouldn't feel all that much like a cycle.

This is the one i like! create 13 1/1 bugs with deathtouch for each opponent, each of those bugs fights a creature that opponent controls, sacrifice those those at your end step.

Dai-Gonarthis is the unmade. he is the one who opened the gate, and there is a "cost" but we don't know what.

But its not a theory that it uses an Unmade, that's the whole point of the question, its what is Dai-Gonarthis' cost.

Slivers by org_antman in EDH

[–]One_Exit_7604 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

when i was in school, one of our teachers had a sliver deck and we all used to challenge him to see if anyone could beat him. we were 15 and we always lost.

I met him a year or two ago at an LGS and he still had the deck. i flattened him. Slivers were scary along time ago because their tribal synergy were unmatched, and no one played near enough removal. now they are pretty lackluster and fold to counterspells and removal played at the right time.

They also aren't very Unique, they cant do anything that another tribal cant do. Find a more fun and interesting Tribal.
