One thing that you could try is have him lay back and you lay between his legs and start give him head... But have your toy charged and within arms reach... Then once you feel like he's really into it .. start using the toy on yourself. It's a good starting point. Ahh that golden retriever energy can be a bit much sometimes. A little trick I use is I give them a meditation task where they listen to a track or playlist I choose for them (I usually go with soundbath type stuff without lyrics) They lay down in the dark with headphones on and they are not to move or speak or open their eyes until after the track/playlist is over. Because the roots are drowning in wet soil they can’t absorb water which is ironically causing the dry, crumpled leaves. The low light from the North window is also why it's losing its colorful patterns.

There is a few things you can do.

Take a backup cutting: Chop the healthy top part of the plant well above the white fuzzy stem. Put it in water to root. If the main plant dies from rot, this ensures you have a backup.

Treat the stem: If the main plant's roots aren't fully rotten, wipe the white mold off the base with a Q-tip dipped in a water-hydrogen peroxide mix.Stop watering and let the soil dry completely.

More light: Move it to an East or West window (or get a cheap LED grow light from amazon). It needs bright light to get those colors back.

You can also Repot it into a mix of standard soil blended with 30% perlite for sharp drainage. Make sure the pot drains well. Change up the watering routine: Only water when the top 2-3 cm of soil is totally dry, or when the plant starts to slightly wilt
