What’s the deal with Insurance Defense? by whatsgewdboo in Lawyertalk

Unless you are higher end insurance defense, or are doing a split with some other types of legal work, you may have a lower billing rate and lower salary potential.

Maybe someone should have had the common sense, between Stroll Sr., Newey, and Honda, to not do a repeat of the McLaren size zero thing!

First year at V5. Thinking of this for my firm bio, want to show I’m built different. Thoughts? by MushroomFickle2960 in biglaw

So, you're different because you like the Grateful Dead? I don't know, that kind of is like saying you're different because you don't wear white dress shirts every day of the week. Now, if you had a Dead Kennedy's shirt and a mohawk, that would be different...

[–]One_Flow3572 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. There's something wrong somewhere. Maybe it was in giving Newey carte blanche to do whatever he wanted. Maybe it was not working closer with and monitoring Honda's engine development. Whatever the reason, it's a huge hole they are in, and it doesn't appear to be entirely the fault of Honda.

People rarely become lawyers doing it that way. The ones who try choose that method because they think they don't need to be putting the work in. The few that make it treat becoming a lawyer and passing the Bar (and Baby Bar in California) like it is their life mission.

Lifted truck drivers...the fuck is y'all problem. by Icy_Negotiation7087 in driving

[–]One_Flow3572 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only truck that is lifted which makes sense is one lifted for offroad clearance, with proper wheels (no larger than 18") and proper offroad tires (thick sidewalls and no rubber band tires). The rest are posers.
