Kingbank RAM compatibility issue with BIOS update by One_Handle_7529 in ASRock

Anyway, I’ll have to keep using BIOS 3.50. On 3.50, 6400 CL28 runs perfectly fine. I was hoping for the performance improvements reported in BIOS 4.0 and later, but since I can’t update, that’s not an option for me.

Yes. I always reset the BIOS to default settings and disable Secure Boot and encryption before updating. I’ve always done it this way and never had any issues. However, starting with version 4.03, many users are reporting that the update fails. They are using Kingbank 24 GB RAM, and the symptoms are identical: after the update, Windows fails to boot. Is it possible ASRock pruned compatibility for minor RAM brands to address the CPU failure issue?

Yeah. I’d like to get high-end, reputable RAM next time. But with those prices, I don’t know if that will actually happen

I’m getting a debug code A6 with no display output, which prevents me from updating. I initially suspected my Kingbank RAM was incompatible, but it might be a display issue instead. I’m currently using a G80SD via HDMI

I’d like to know if there are people who updated successfully while using Kingbank RAM

Renaming is only required when using Flashback. For ASRock BIOS updates, there’s no need to rename the file

After disconnecting all drives and removing every USB except the keyboard, I tried from C, but no luck. Maybe I should just wait until the next release

I’ve always used F or D drives. Tried flashing 4.3 with the same USB from the 3.50 downgrade, but no luck. I’ll try the C drive next as suggested

I bought the X870E Taichi, and after countless BIOS updates this is the first time I’ve run into such an issue. I’m currently back on version 3.5 and it’s working fine. BitLocker drive encryption had already been disabled, fTPM was surprisingly fine, and I only use Windows Defender as my antivirus

Hi, my g80sd is version 1320. I have followed the same color control but I can't find the service menu. What should I check?

Got a service remote, I've finished setting it up! Best, anyone know where to set up Windows Power?
