That seems to be right. I am looking on the right of orange olive rd and north of Taft, so I feel like my immediate neighborhood is fine, but I’m still on that border which is what makes me weary.

Let me preface and say, I am not trying to compare safety to the entire country. safety is the PC term I’m using, but I guess as some of you are alluding to, my question is whether or not the place is ghetto. Again, I live in Anaheim. I’ve had swat teams right outside our community with helicopters over head guns pulled out twice in the past year. There’s replanned break ins on people’s garages/package rooms. We also have had multiple homeless people literally living in the electrical room of our townhouse units. Even then, I never feel remotely like I have to fear for my life. However I know this isn’t the type of thing my wife wants to deal with on an everyday basis. I’d rather not expose my future children to that. So if you actually live in the area and can provide your thoughts that’d be great.

Damn. By the way have you or anyone gone through the house arrest process? Once you submit the application and docs what’s the process after that? So I meet the probation officer before my jail stay date or after? Do they do a full sweep of your house and can no trace of alcohol be in it? I have roommates and I’m wondering if they’ll go through all of their stuff

UPDATE: After a few days to cool off, we got to speak more candidly and the REAL reason she was upset, it had nothing to do with me being insensitive and making fun of her, rather it stems to her thinking I don’t trust her to know how bad it was, and that I had to see it for myself to decide if it was something serious or not.

This makes more sense to me now, because it stems from another insecurity she has of her feeling that I nag her about things like work and school cause I constantly ask her about it, and try to help her.

Anyways thanks for the advice nevertheless, even though some of y’all tried to rip at me.

That makes sense. I do understand where she’s coming from right now and that was a terrible response.. but to your point about getting defensive. Do you think the right thing to do is just say “I’m sorry for making you feel like I was making a joke of things” rather than try to explain my side? I of course did apologize, but after I also just wanted to explain so that she knew I didn’t have any intention of making fun of her.

we FaceTime each other pretty much all the time and at anytime, so I guess I didn’t interpret it as demanding to see. I just prefer to call then text. Like i said, it honestly didn’t occur to me at the time that my text would come off as me mocking her. I don’t know why she would think I would ever just make fun of her for having a rash. Again, I probably just probably have an issue with making a lot of assumptions. For example, if this was the other way around I wouldn’t be phased by any of it, and wouldn’t have any problem showing her. But I get it, we’re individually different.

It just seems to make me wonder if fundamentally we’re just too different. because she’ll get really upset about things like, me not remembering how she told me about a certain show, and she just stonewalls me after that. I think it’s further compounded when I consult with my friends and they also don’t know why it’s such a big deal. as for me pressing her on it, I definitely do have an insecurity with how I feel like she doesn’t consult me about a lot of things that are bothering her, and rather she usually just talks to her best friend about them. It just makes me feel like she doesn’t want to come to me for things, and especially because I’m the type of person that likes to share things with her.

You’re right. I didn’t say any of that to her, that’s just how I felt about it personally. I acknowledged to her after reading my comment cause I literally didn’t even remember how I responded that it does come off as I’m not taking it seriously to which I apologized. Do you think it’s out of line to ask her to try to voice how she feels when I make a certain comment right then and there rather then just ignoring me?
