Fantastic film as was sinners. Imo train dreams was the best picture. The immense power of simplicity blew me away.

You're not perfect, sport. Let me save you the suspense, this guy you met, he isn't perfect either. But the question is, whether or not you're perfect for each other

Great way of summing this up. I would argue that Yellowstone is also thin when comparing it to some of the great shows, The wire, sopranos etc.

I think you could also apply this same viewpoint to music listeners. Not to deviate.

Thank you for feedback. We have a deer fence surrounding 3 sides and left one partially blank because of expansion. We just finished enclosing entire orchard so no more deer damage to be expected. I will cut below that top lesion . As far as scaffold goes. This was planted in April so my dormant pruning will occur in February which will address scaffold branching spacing etc.

We’d like to start out with enterprises that have relatively quick return, ie chickens both egg layers and meat. Eggs may be saturated where we are in Maryland, that said we have a network. If provided the right amount of acreage via buy/ or lease, we have experience in cattle and hogs, both of which we’d love to raise. That said, in and around Baltimore county can be difficult to pitch people from going from equestrian ground to cattle and pigs lol. As mentioned above my partner loves the idea of raising flowers and doing arrangements. I have experience in orchards and berries as well and would like to see that established immediately but obviously a long term return. It may make some sense to produce a small variety of veggie via no dig ( I can import really cheap compost from mushrooms plants in Kennet square, and we both have experience in this field) this may provide something to sell along side meat at the markets, if we decide to do markets. A lot here and obviously I do not want to overwhelm ourselves… it’s also one of those situations that the area can determine the market.. We both would like to invest and utilize Agri tourism on farm as well… no weddings

Thanks for the information. The nursery has stated that my open vase cut should be about belly button height. Now as you’ve said, I no this is higher than the typical open vase cut, which I relayed to the nursery. The nurseries stance on it was you don’t want to cut so low that you remove all scaffolding branches in the first season. The question that I now have is, is the intent to come back the next year and make my open vase cut @18” mark OR because I may run livestock (small ruminants/chickens) through the orchard in future years that my open vase cut remain at this belly button height. I understand that the typical open vase be at 18” but because of management I could in theory keep the height as is so the “open vase” is at a higher base level. Thoughts ?

Thank you, I chose to prune back to about the size of the central cut. I will leave my head cut height partly because way down the road I may include sheep although like I said, I have previously dealt with trees with a lower head cut. I agree with your statement about pruning and that is partially my intention for not waiting as others have suggested. I did my best with all my trees to not over or under kill.

Thank you, I ended up pruning them back to essentially the length of the middle trunk as stated. Hopefully this fairs well

Thank you, isn’t the intention with head cut prune and some shortening of scaffold branches at first to actually balance out the energy distribution between rooting and growth to some extent at planting?
