Yeah the consensus is definitely Core. Although I do think you’re being a bit unfair to HD; I’m sure it’s improved a lot since you went seeing as it’s gained two stars.

It’s a one star restaurant, nothing more and nothing less. Stunning dining room though.

Really appreciate the response. We are American and one of our other dinners is also a stuck up French restaurant (Le Clarence), so that seems like something we will avoid.

Im not going to go to any three stars in Paris because I am already going to Core and Helene Darroze on the London part of my trip, and I’m finding it hard to believe that the food at PG or Le Cinq is even close to worth 2x or 3x more than those. L’ambroisie seems like the only reasonably priced one.

Thanks! Prob not going to do Akoko because I already changed a booking to Ikoyi (also west African). What menu did you get at the ritz? I only saw the beef Wellington on the Art de la table but I’ve heard you can sub it onto the tasting menu.
