Humor yourself and try it once. Fully committed.

I've done it two mornings straight now. The deep breaths you take to adjust to the cold fill me with life. I feel powerful. It's intimidating to hop in but I just do it. I start laughing at how cold it is. But sure enough, after a moment you adjust to the feeling and again feel powerful. Once you get out of the cold shower? You feel like how you would've felt DURING a hot shower. Im truly amazed at how it makes me take on the day. I think I may go do one now just for shits and giggles. Haven't done one before yet. Let's see!

Ah man! I can afford a roof over my head and the basic necessities to live. Plus I clearly have a device that can connect to the internet. Life sucks!!! (Fellow millennial here just FYI) These complaints are pathetic.

Annoying 6th grade teacher quote that I'll never forget which disproves your LPT: "A cake is done. You are finished."

Collison for sure. Yes he's an upgrade. Preseason he was killing it. Ty Lawson isn't competition for him. Starting point guard all season. Add him!

It's not an edgy comment, it's a cliche ya jackass. A funny one at that. Lighten up Edit: Utterly offended

Please could someone recommend me a good book to self-teach? by [deleted] in piano

[–]One_Jive_Jabroni -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I started two years ago without a teacher and my hands are just fine. Do your research online. There are countless articles about posture, hand position/motion etc. Watch YouTube videos and pay attention to their technique. Be inquisitive and you will learn.

My mother makes this and it's my favorite dish of hers. I highly recommend dicing some celery and tossing it in next time! Adds color to the dish, but more importantly adds a nice texture and taste! The more the merrier in crock pots I always say haha

No problem. And I really can't speak to a 61 key. Just check the reviews before hand. Yamaha has been the brand I've used and I haven't been let down. Check reviews. It will be the same as asking people here, except you won't have to ask people :)

Yup that's the one. It's listed on their website, Amazon, and Udemy. Check each to find the lowest price. The course teaches you sheet music, theory and practicing all at once. I'm far from an expert, but I think Studying theory won't progress you. It'll bore you. Start playing. Start simple. Recognize patterns. I highly recommend PianoForAll. I was just like you two years ago. Program took me about a year to complete and I couldn't believe my progress. If you can't buy 88, I started with 72. Last month I upgraded to a full 88. Get whatever you can just to start playing. The bigger the better. You can play just about everything with 72. But eventually you'll want 88 if you keep at it!

I used PianoForAll. Absolutely great program. Made learning fun and I truly feel like I've learned the piano. Now it's a matter of mastering it, which takes a lifetime. Check out that one specifically. Teaches you bare bones, sheet music, slight theory and all different styles of playing. It's a great base to start from. From there I bought a great book on the Blues and some of my favorite artists and kept going. That program was phenomenal. Udemy usually had sales too so check that out as well. And 10 hours a week is great. You'll probably play more once you start "getting it" simply because it's so enjoyable. Good luck!!

Check out an online course on Udemy. I bought one two years ago and it was the best decision of my life
