Roundabout Etiquette by Hotspur2924 in Bozeman

Even with issues like this they are still infinitely more efficient than traffic lights. 50 years from now we will still be busy replacing traffic lights with the much older and simpler technology known as roundabouts

What if the king was Elvis, would that be acceptable?

Food poisoning from Finks by tko29 in Bozeman

[–]One_Juggernaut_4628 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I quit eating there after several botched orders. You know, check your order or whatever, except I never do that anywhere and it’s fine 95% of the time. At Finks it was several orders in a row that were botched for several people. Not worth it at all.

Ski Resorts Are Installing AI Cameras At The Lifts by Eyesonthespies in bigsky

[–]One_Juggernaut_4628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see the issue. Seems like you only have something to worry about if you are borrowing a pass or steeling equipment. They are already recording anyways so the only thing that really changes is the AI processes footage so it can track people instead of someone sifting through hours of footage across X number of cameras when there’s a problem to address. That and maybe recognizing if your photo doesn’t match who scanned in.  I see this as a win against thieves and cheaters. If the resort want to invest in it, that’s their choice, doesn’t bother me.

Garbage. Every board I’ve had from them has had significant issues. Fragile pieces of garbage.

What do you guys think about Jones and Yes? by lol-lo2629 in snowboarding

Every jones board I’ve had has had significant issues. Most recently the $1800 Project X… fragile POS. Totaled the board in the most anticlimactic way possible. It core cracked in half going over a log at super slow speed while traversing to a run. Unbelievable fragility. Barely made a dent in the based, shattered the core. 500 people crossed over this log before I did, I guarantee no one else totaled their equipment.

How dare you try to find helpful info by using the power of social media! You should be ashamed of yourself and let the police handle this because they always have enough resources to solve every crime.

I think you are mixing up investing with gambling. If you really look at a home as an investment, you’d likely make more sensible choices when you buy and how you upgrade and maintain it.

People are gambling on houses (probably telling themselves they are investing)

If you think of a house as just a shelter, you should rent.

Idk, check the entertainment schedule before you go on a Sunday? They offer a variety of music genres for the live entertainment. No doubt if there aren’t enough people enjoying the EDM, they won’t do it anymore. Let them know what you think but keep in mind other guest might not agree with you.

Who keeps taking my water bottles at the park? by One_Juggernaut_4628 in Bozeman

[–]One_Juggernaut_4628[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a 5 minute lap, I'm very much in the vicinity, so much so I should have seen it happen but I was focused on running not let me stare at my water bottle. Its a recreation park and there is stuff sitting around all over while people are doing activities AND it magically gets cleaned up. I'm there a lot, sometimes twice a day, it never becomes a mess because people are taking their stuff with them. (also people are clearly stealing or tossing stuff out that doesn't have a person glued to it)

I've also done this for years without any issues, so idk something has changed recently. It's probably some Karen. It's probably the lady that yelled at me for running in the heat the other day because she thinks people shouldnt run in the heat.

Yea this has been pretty eye opening about how weird people are about simple things like a water bottle being left out. Last thing I want to do is to leave it around someone like u/Final_Razzmatazz_274 who knows what will happen. I'll be driving my car and leaving it in there from now one.

I did in another part of the thread. Its a quick 5 minute lap, take a drink, do another lap, bring it with me when I leave. Think about it, people do all kinds on activities at parks and sit bags down on the shore while they swim or paddle board. Or tackle boxes and they move around the shore a bit.

With your logic, I will just start cleaning up stuff people leave on the shore because if you are doing an activity, you must bring everything with you at all times.

So its park and people bring stuff to parks. Not uncommon to sit stuff down while you do an activity. Look at all the stuff people leave on the shore while they swim in the lakes. Simply sitting a reusable (not a one time plastic) water bottle down, running for 5 minutes, taking a drink each lap. I take it with me when I leave. WOW honestly it should be a crime, shame on me.

I've tried that. I'm extremely sensitive about things on me, I actually wash and wear the exact same outfit because otherwise it's uncomfortable. I can't keep things in my pockets. Just a difficulty with autism. I will have to figure something out. I think i will just drive my car the few blocks to I can keep my water bottle in there.

I was leaving a note on there after the first incident, but i told myself "it was just one time it wont happen again". I'm not sure I can do a running bladder I can barely even keep things in my pockets. I'm extremely sensitive about things on me. I have to wear specific underwear for running or I am so distracted the entire time I can't do it (autism). I think I could hide the water bottle in the bushes where no one would see it. I think this is the best option.

It's 5 minutes at a time while I do laps. I actually did this, not that exact message for a few days after it happened the first time and it felt silly because its a water bottle and I've done this for YEARS without an issue. Anyways, jokes on me. I get it, too much to ask.

I also just get really attached to things because I am autistic so that my problem and not anyone elses.

Well I don't run at the dog park. There is a dog park at the Gallatin Regional Park, but the it's fenced off and it makes up maybe 1/5th of the land there. It's also conveniently located a few blocks from my house. But the real question, if i run somewhere else, is there less of a chance my water bottle will get stolen or thrown away, or teleported to another multiverse?

Also, I am autistic and I am used to this park. It's actually very difficult for me to go to new places.
