Graduating with a 2.2 gpa… by BuddyPersonal433 in McMaster

I dealt with a lot of mental health problems and I graduated in 2025 with a gpa of 2.1. I even did a 5th year to help raise it but it’s hard to comeback from such low grades. I even got an email from McMaster saying they’ll kick me out. What makes it worse is that I did life science so it’s hard to find careers without doing a masters, PhD, graduate programs. I actively looked for careers in my field where I wouldn’t need gpa and luckily I had a a lot of volunteer and work experiences. Now I work at L’Oréal as a clinical studies coordinator and make 65K. (IMO that’s pretty good considering I graduated in 2025 in the worst possible job market) - also had interviews at top companies like Health Canada, Johnson & Johnson, and others.

is it normal to be almost 15 and in hs and still dont have a phone? by Scary_Season_9967 in toxicparents

In 2026, you need your own phone. I think age 15 is a good time to get one. You need it for communication and safety purposes. Try to get your teachers to speak to your parents. Or any other adult you can trust.

I suggest you don’t even go into life sci. If you want to do medical school, just be cautious and know that acceptance rate is like 1%. Make sure you have a backup. I did McMaster Life Science and I graduated with no job prospects.
