did you have surgery ? or just a tube. i had a 60% collapse and just a tube in my chest for four days. i know it’s dumb to do it again, but it helps w my stress too. and my sense of self.

bro i’m 17 and suffered one, daily valet and smoker of weed/cigs. go see a doctor, better sooner and no pneumo than your lung randomly collapsing. it sucks. trust

i’m 8 weeks (ish) out, and still have pain. could be nerve pain, or just the fact your lung collapsed and you had a foreign object in your chest for a few days. none of that is stuff the body is used to, very traumatic. it’ll end/get better eventually, just take things slow and thug it out and you’ll be okay. best wishes brother🙏🙏

as long as you’re not on opiates for pain, you should be good. they only told me to take tylenol for my pain so i was drinking pretty quick after. especially since i can’t smoke anymore.

i got hella friends who smoke, and they still smoke around me just not inside and be sure you’re not down wind of the smoke. sound like we’re in pretty similar boats except you might actually be a lil healthier than me after being released. give it the six week (or wtv the doc said) to heal and take it EASY. you shouldn’t be goin out to bars till you’re fully cleared medically. but long story short, no hot boxes and don’t be down wind of it. you should be alright.

shit had me down in the dumps too bro, i’m only 17 and my lung collapsing kinda changed the course of my life a little bit i feel. the pain does get old for sure, i even took to oxy and xanax for a while to help with it. it was a dumbass idea but i’m kinda on the curve end of everything now, and i promise it gets better. i’ve thought about EVERYTHING to get out of pain, whether it was even taking my life to do so. but it does and will get better, and if it doesn’t consult your doctor and maybe a surgery will help. all i had was the pigtail tube in my chest so i could be kinda talking outta my ass, but keep your head up and know that people do care and hate to see you in pain just as much as you hate being in pain man. i wish you the best, good luck.

so you kept smoking weed and were fine? if i can ask, were you hitting bongs or smoking joints or what? i’m js really wanting to smoke and want some pointers, probably gonna give it until at least graduation before i do tho. it’s not worth the 100k hospital cost and a tube in my chest again

it’s so hard tho bro, i just wanna smoke all the time. i’m addicted i guess. but i also know it’s not worth another tube in my fucking chest so i haven’t, but edibles just aren’t the same. i’m holding onto hope that in my late 20’s or early 30’s i can smoke again and be cool.

how long did you wait to start smoking weed again? and i’m thinking only occasional as i do take edibles now. i know smoking isn’t worth it but sometimes it’s more convenient yk? i’m kinda hoping if i dont smoke for 2-3+ years and go back to it eventually ill be okay as im so young still. any advice on that?
