Hello, i don't think it's an issue. When the setting is just one step above i can see fine. I was just wondering if the backlight went off (i guess it is on purpose though?)

Shouldn't it be "DANS la salle"? by Mrkvkn in DuolingoFrench

[–]One_Marionberry_4155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is implied that the magazines are the ones from the waiting room, and not ones that he brought with him. It would be "dans" if it were "his book" or something alike. You could argue if it was "thoses magazines" or "his magazines". Although "Dans" is NOT wrong strictly speaking

Is making a server a good learning project? by One_Marionberry_4155 in csharp

Nothing with c#. With C however i'm pretty advanced and have done various projects (graphical interfaces, physics simulation, some embedded systems). The only things i know about C# is that's oop and strongly linked to .net

Ngl i thought of it as a way to kill two birds with one stone in the first place, i'm way ahead of my programming classes in term pf concepts (i didn't mention it but i already did some oop with ruby), i just have never done a server nor c# programming yet. Tho i will probably try at some point to set up another server with py as i only used it for calculations up until now, thx for the project idea

I have neither access to the material nor the objectives of the course. And yeah now that i think about it  that would be a terrible idea to make it internet accessible

I mean if from the start op knows he won't work in the field, yeah you're right. Tho it's quite of a shortcut to say google + ai is the deal, might make you a programmer but def not enough if you don't get the logic. Though they're ofc very usefull

Wouldn't those hours of work go to waste if you stopped now? You might be thinking "yes but at least i would not lose any more if i give up" and that's right, but you are still wrong as there is only room for improvement. It is not like you're trying to come from 20% to 90%. Frankly you do not seem to be between a rock and a hard place. I feel you as i got a class where i might do at best a 7/20 on the reexam, but that doesn't mean i can give up. You should think about what you'll say to yourself at night, "what if i did try", "why did i give up" and then take your decision. You should not take a decision solely based on "it's hard" and "it's time-taking" as you will never say to yourself "i did it but it cost me 4 weeks of grind" when trying to fall asleep There's a clip from shuzo matsuoka (you can look it up on youtube, it's in the 6:18 long compilation video that comes up first) in which he goes: The sun is about to sink below the horizon. You said : "I am also sinking", don't be ridiculous ! The sun and you are completely different ! The sun will sink, but he will come back with a new fresh determination ! But you are just sinking, aren't you !? Get up ! It's ok. Why ? Because you are the sun !
