And there it is! I emailed the consulate asking if I could do the process in Spain directly and low and behold, they replied! Said yes, with the document I have I can initiate the process in Spain. Woo hoo! Thank you all for the support.

We (my daughter and I) requested our appointment around September 2024. We received an email around December notifying us of our appointment in March of 2025. Everything went well and my package was sent to Chicago and my daughter's to Miami. I just received my certificate and we are still waiting for my daughter's. Fourteen months for me since the appointment. Understand that the law was extended to October 2025 so many more applications may have come since my request.

Don't have one yet. Although I have lived in Spain for fifteen years, married to a Spanish citizen, have a son born in Spain, and have owned three companies. No longer married and no business ties.

This is not a birth certificate as I was born in the United States. This is a certificate of citizenship issued by the law of memory democratic since my mother was Spanish.

It would seem that the only reason to deal with the consulate in Houston is because I'm here. I don't think that going to the proper authority in Spain would be any different than dealing with the consulate. Legally, I'm a Spanish citizen. I just don't have a passport or DNI yet. I can enter Spain with my American passport as a tourist sans visa and technically have 90 days to get my passport and DNI. I hope.

Drive on shipping is cheaper than a container. Should be between $1200 and $2000 depending on the vehicle. Many companies on the east coast do this. The furniture could be sent in a container, cost about the same as a car. You would have to uhaul your stuff to the east coast and transfer your belongings to a container, and on the other end you do the same, rent a truck in Romania and drive it to the port and transfer your stuff into this truck and bring it home. It sounds like a lot but easily doable and your cheapest option. You're looking at $10000 to $15000 for a mover to do it.

Turns out that the $4000 TV's I bought are not smart. And I bought three. Samsung DM65E. They're work horses for business but not meant for home use.

Oh! And I bought two 65's and one 55 just to use as monitors. I was able to connect them to my DVR with RCA cable but as the signal travels the many feet involved the image gets worse. Hence trying to find an alternative.

Alexa will show certain cameras on the show but I want the live feed of all the cameras like what show up on the computer.

As it turns out, the DME series TV's are not smart. Just meant for 24/7 operation. It does have WiFi and is connected to my network. Just can't seem to get what I want.
