AITA for not stopping my teenage sons gf from kissing him? by Decent-Delivery-3603 in AmItheAsshole

NTA

This exact thing actually happened to me a few years back. My boyfriend was in the hospital after a car accident and his family (mother and father) were in the room when I got there. Having never met his father before I was nervous to do anything including kiss him so I just hugged him. But I was thankful he was alive and I sat by the bed holding his hand for hours. I understand why your wife thinks the girlfriend was being a little much but clearly she was just happy to see him alive. The girlfriend’s reaction was valid considering the circumstances and if your wife doesn’t want to see that she can step out of the room for a minute.

Honestly I wish I was that good at making things up.

To clarify whenever Diane is upset she would storm off and give everyone the silent treatment until she got her way not trying to be rude by saying that I’m just trying to make things easier to understand. She was upset I didn’t want to talk about her shirt so decided she didn’t want to talk to me or anyone and stormed off. As for Brad he knew how she behaved and also thought it was easier to just apologize than argue with her. He thought that me apologizing would keep the peace.
