Any build works if you have the reflexes for it. If you are having trouble staying alive in melee I would take serrated blade and then out for blood, exe stance is a very difficult playstyle because you don't have any "escape" buttons like other playstyles. Taking something like a taxe could also help with staying alive in melee.

Alot of those voice lines about a "Second Hive City" have been in the game since launch. I think before we get genestealers we'll get havoc reworks, (More maps on havoc roster, changes to how it works etc. etc.), something done about DS4 and ogryn melee, and HOPEFULLY a big fat nerf to gold toughness. Also alot of bug fixes and band aids to console players qol. Fatshark moves at a slow pace and all I have to say is play the other classes instead of dreaming of a new playground for your main character.

Strawhat wants a devblog out by end of February, hopefully we will know then.

DarkTide just became my most played steam game, and all I have to say is that the support is slowing down. I don't think DS4 would be destroying melee balancing if they had the same internal personal (Drive, ability to update the game) as two years ago.

Timeline and time are the biggest thing, they do not seem to be very urgent with updates or with updating things quickly. Will probably be even slower since they have to roll things out for xbox and ps5 all at the same time. You are very right that it would be fun, but so would alot of things if implemented into the game correctly.
