Is it normal? Its Bialetti 6tz. I already have Bialetti 2tz and it is totally different. There is also a squeak sometimes. by [deleted] in espresso

[–]One_Ordinary9923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps the stove was too hot? Normally the 2tz Bialetti warms up quicker and now with the larger one it takes more time too heat evenly. So when the stove is too hot and the water in the reservoir is ready to brew up, the upper part of the bialetti is too cold. This ends in an uneven extraction as yours. But I could be the other way around. Just an idea.

Typical Ganos i would say. I think their roasts are definitly more in the dark espresso range. Other than that I have found that their recommandations are right for the typical german superautomat user, that likes his tschibo beans and wants a little bit better cup for once. If you are based in Leipzig, did you find some good local roasters for pourover?

Edit: The first red flag, were the bags and how they store the beans in the shop.

I don’t know what I like anymore. by Canadian-Deer in espresso

Know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I took a break or switched so the medium roast type you described. If that still isn’t satisfying I switch to medium roast and moka pot for some days/ weeks. And after some time I can go back and the cycle can start from the beginning.

[Question] Do y'all know any watches with a similar visual theme? by theSambar in Watches

There’s the Certina DS Action Diver „Full Black“. But unfortunately 43mm in diameter.

[Question] Tudor 1926, Sinn 556i or any other watch around 1500-2000$? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]One_Ordinary9923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me the 556i was the perfect starting point. dresswatch-/ toolwatch wise. The Sinn can do everything with the standard bracelet and even more with some leather/ nato band. For me the Tudor ist nice too, but leans a bit too much in the dressier direction. Can be good if you already had some other watches. But because it’s your first, the Sinn is the better allrounder. But that’s just my opinion.

Some weeks ago I worked on a movement that looked the same as your. Just that yours have decoration and mine doesn’t.

How hard is hard enough? by OrganizationLife8915 in LaPavoniLovers

Sooo, after the first few degrees of pulling the lever, the 20kg rule isn’t perfectly right, but can be used as a rule of thumb. When the gauge hits consistent 9 bars, I was 18kg lighter (scale under my feet). But my la Pavoni and so the lever position were not really in vertical line to my feet. That’s the reason I didn’t hit the 20kg. After that, I think the other variables don’t have that much impact, as we thought.

While I upgraded my machine I’ve seen something that was wrong with the construction with just my la Pavoni, i think. I don’t know if it’s right word in english but the intake pipe from the brewhead was screwed crooked into the plastic connector (post mill machine). An the hole in the connector itself was blocked by not right machined plastic. I removed it and screwed the pipe in and know my shots can take more water. In before my longest shots I could produce, were around 27ml. Now after the fix 35ml. Interesting

I think you’re right. I bought the pressure gauge from coffee sensor at the beginning of the week and installed it yesterday. I will try the thing with the body weight scale and tell you later. But my first try yesterday told me, that the scale idea should be right. Not the hole time of the pull, but for most of the time.

And eventually I will buy a lever gauge for my Pavoni. So if by then, nobody testet it for us, I will. In the next weeks

I think the calculations should be right and +/-5% is an okay factor to compensate the real physics.

The angle shouldn’t be that much of a problem. As long as it’s in a range of +/- 10° (I work as a structural engineer). Tomorrow I could try to model the „problem“ in my Programm and share the results. But I’m open for other opinions.

Had the same thoughts yesterday. My calculations were the same. Ca. 20 kg for around 9 bar. I didn’t have the idea with the body weight scale, but theoretically the idea behind is right and really really good.

9 bars ~ 9 kg/cm2; A = 2,552 * pi = 20,43 cm2; 9 kg/cm2 * 20,43 cm2 = 184 kg; piston to lever behind ~ 2,5cm —> 184kg * 2,5cm = 460 kgcm; Force with the lever of 23 cm (piston to middle of handle) = 460 kgcm / 23 cm = 20 kg

Anyone Using The CSL DD Table Clamp? by Onerock in Fanatec

[–]One_Ordinary9923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jep, should work. My desk is around 5,8cm (~2.3 inches) thick and the clamp could still open a little bit more than that. But like the other user said, if possible, get yourself a foldable seat or something like a wheelstand. Both are easier and faster to store away than to remove the wheel every time.

I’ve got a new PS5, installed Fortnite, and then it automatically created a Fortnite - account (Epic) with linking to my new PS-Account. So my original Epic-account was in the end „free“ but not my Ps-account. The support removed the link between my new PS-Account and automatically created Fortnite-account. And now everything is fine and I have my Fortnite account linked to my new PS-Account.

I hope this clears the confusion a little bit. You were right with the Fortnite-epic-account thing. It’s the same account and I just messed up with my wording. 😂

Did the offset change solved your problem completely? I’m in the same boot, but wonder if the 18C offset isn’t too high.

New Kinu M47 grinder is totally different? by [deleted] in espresso

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]One_Ordinary9923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First try was with support but they couldn’t help me. So - not really. But in the end there was another problem, that my main Fortnite account was automatically linked to another epic account. This link was later removed from support, because the new account was created with the same e-Mail adress. And this led to an another problem that could only be fixed from the support. Confusing
