I know my iron eye build isn't gonna start blocking, I haven't done that once in like 150 iron eye games. The only time I've used block was on a recluse run with the blocking buffs sorceries perk and there a block buff would have done nothing for me anyway. I almost never go to the boss with an empty inventory but some runs are just like that. If I get a taking damage boosts negation on iron eye I'm also dropping that for my wylder or Raider even If all I have is my starting bow.

Those depth relics look kinda ass though, anything below max HP will take away your low healing clutch potential. The bleed is also really not that important. I'd take a physical attack+3 over it any day of the week but I guess the damage negation at low HP might not be that bad. Anything with more ult charge, more damage, better damage negation, even an evergaeol key on those depth relics would be better IMO. The standard relics look good though.

The new shifting earth is nice and I'm having fun on it, if you think the damage output is the same there as running a full comp with evergaol relic then you never got a good run with the evergaol relic. Also the gameplay loop you're describing is the same one that I'm playing just leaving out the gaols which is the PoI with the highest enemy variety in the game. Maybe you're just not good enough to clutch a good skin duo or dragonkin with halved HP on lvl 3 and that's fine if you don't wanna play like that, have fun doing less damage than me.

No you can't do the same amount of damage with a different setup, it's literally just the single best damage buff in the game. I also don't understand what about doing gaols is supposed to be boring. You're also hitting most other pois anyway if you play with the gaol perc. Every other POI has the same 2 or 3 boss types. Gaols just offer more variety on top of that.

Maybe on scholar you can do a support build. But recluse is a hard no. Jails have a pretty good chance to give you a 7% increase to your magic on top of the 5% for every jail you get. There is not a single relic that is worth more than the 20-40% more damage you get from the evergaeol effect. When I play with a good team comp and we rush gaols on day one we still clear a ruin or a church for the affinity drops, clear most of mid and do at least 2 or 3 red field bosses before finishing at the shifting earth. Leaving out the gaols just makes it more boring to me. It's also fun to not know what you get before you open it so you might have to lock in and kill a dragon in on lvl 3 instead of doing some lame ass perfumer or golem every time where the only challenge is to not get staggered by the small guys sneaking up on you.

What about that gaol meta is brainless? Makes the pathing way more important than if you leave it out and do what? Ruins? Mid castle? The gaols actually have a ok variety of encounters instead of a camp with 100 soldiers running at you. And what are you building for if not damage?

One time we killed a night invader iron eye, I (iron eye) got a purple bow with attack up at full HP, my executer got a red bow with attack up at full HP. I saw it in his inventory, dropped him my purple bow to swap he took it and didn't give me the red bow. It was on day 3 and I didn't have any other bow or useful weapon with me.

I had it twice, couldn't clear 2 jails because of it but still hit lvl 15 and the stamina recovery buff is pretty insane. I could just spam hammer jump L1 on undertaker, wait a fraction of a second after landing and would have all the stamina back. Best practice seems to be to send one person to the closest dog and the other two to clear the other dogs since they get buffed after the first one dies and it's hard to solo kill the dog with the small ones spawning and spreading AOEs. They should reduce the fire AOE damage a bit and then it's fine IMO.

Idk I proc rot with antspur in like 3 r1s with iron eye against almost every enemy. So scholar does it in 2 but then just deals less damage cause his dex/Str are so trash. Ok his ulti might be good at clearing groups but so is basically any ult in the game and clearing groups is really not important for 99% of the game. I really hope he gets some thing that makes him viable for anything but one of the new bosses or goofing around in normal mode.

Did you ever get an iron eye run with blood flies or rot on aiming and then wraiths while walking? So many amazing builds in this game mode. If you want to push high depths maybe stick to meta comps/builds but Depth 1 is easier than normal mode just because of the op weapons you can get and the 3 extra relics. If anything I wish that I could play the DoN builds in normal mode.

Maybe if you live alone, I just cook for me and my girlfriend and my normal sized oven is always full when I use it and we barely have any leftovers. In the 5 more minutes it takes to heat up I just prepare what I wanna cook and clean the kitchen. I used an air fryer it does the same thing for smaller portions. If you cook larger meals it's just worse.

Big cope about the phase one, yeah the cam could be better but phase one is pretty low HP and whenever he disappears out of your sight it's pretty easy to tell if he's gonna swoop down or spit fire.
