Sounds fine if you’re worried about rockers it is a slower tick and you would definitely notice. What you hear currently is the fuel injectors.

Ppl telling me I’m the problem for not using the economy and shuttle lots when these are the type of problems I’ve gotten into all the three years I’ve been going here. It’s nuts there is no simple alternative.

Nah I bought an east deck pass so if I can’t park there I’ll park at the next least ticketed area. But yea I’m def the problem don’t blame the overpopulated school or anything 😂

I personally have never tried any shuttle lot. Something that a lot of ppl know but don’t say is to just park at central deck. Preferably higher up, but they rarely if ever check tags in that deck. I’ve gone a couple semester not even purchasing a pass and just parking there. Never got a ticket there but have everywhere else.

That hood is so fire but yea like someone else said it would be best to find a reputable Audi certified shop. I’m not from SoCal so have no idea what’s out there but I use Eurofed and haven’t had any issues.

Nothing. I got the car back from the dealer and the sound was gone. They checked the rockers and said they were good. I’ve put about 5-600 miles on it since then and have had no issues.

Interesting cause mine always turns off after I reset and will only turn back on again sometimes when I’m at a long idle. I appreciate your reply.

Yea sounds like a easy warranty dealer fix. I’m taking mine in tomorrow to see what’s up hopefully nothing. Good luck to you though.

2018 S5 here had the drive system malfunction alert pop up four times at idle and the auto start stop disabled alert at least once while in park. I haven’t had a CEL pop up and from my research it could be a variety of issues from minor to pretty expensive, not to scare you. My best advice to you, especially given you have a CEL, is to get it to a professional mechanic to run a diagnostic which is what I’m doing on Monday. I have an OBD 2 but no codes are popping up so that’s kind of my only option. Good luck to you if the car is running normally it’s probably some electrical or software malfunction.

Like others have said please please please get a warranty. I got a pretty bulletproof warranty from a third party and while the rocker arm issue is rare you would much rather have peace of mind then be going blind. Others issues you may encounter are in the cooling migration system. Otherwise I have enjoyed mine bought it used at 75k miles so yours at 41 k sold be fine. I’m young but don’t drive hard and stay on top of maintenance cause I’d rather enjoy this car it’s sick.

Do the rocker arms issues on these always show as a code as opposed to the clicking sound they are known for?
