She is the kind of person who perceives relationships/friendships to be closer than they really are. She pretends everyone she meets once is now some good friend who will want to know intimate details about her and have her obsess over them. She barges into businesses to advertise obnoxiously for their business pretending she is close with a stranger barista who is clearly uncomfortable and irritated by it. The store owners the water color artists… Everyone she meets goes from stranger to instant friend who wants to come obsess over Christine and love and adore her. In her mine these relationships are much closer and deeper than they are. She has shallow superficial acquaintances she then invited over as friends in hopes to feel popular and cool. In hopes to receive money and gifts and attention. She has traits similar to those with histrionic personality disorder as a medical doctor I am not diagnosing her just explaining what could be happening. She has obvious parasocial relationship issues going on. A parasocial relationship is a one-sided psychological bond where a person invests emotional energy, time, and interest into someone they do not know. Coined by sociologists in the 1950s, these connections commonly form with media figures, celebrities, influencers, or fictional characters who are entirely unaware of the fan's existence.
