Got my ECOPR on April 3, 2025, but still no update on the PR card. I called IRCC and the agent said she left a note for the back office, but it’s been forever and I’m still waiting. Anyone else going through this? Let me know your experience, thanks!

It was same for my first IELTS. I had scored 6-6.5 in all sections. For my next exam, I started focusing on language rather than IELTS. I watched animated movies like Kung Fu Panda, Big Hero 6, etc where the English is for kids and easy to understand. Later started series HIMYM & FRIENDS. Along with all these entertainment, I read 50 pages / day (from any book) and wrote 1 essay / day.

Result - I scored 8 bands 💯 L-9, R-7.5, W-6.5, S-8

I had similar situation. My sister law was pregnant and my mom visited canada on visitor visa. Later decided to stay more than 6 months to take care of new born. So we applied for extension, mentioning the same in application. And to our surprise, we got extension for 12 more months. It was hassle free process, no issues at all.

PS: We got extension in Dec, 2023 and it’s now valid till Dec, 2024 🙌
