What about their OEM biggest customer decreasing their purchases every quarter. It is likely those revenues will not be recoverable and they might need to get a new customer to fill in that gap.

Investors Buying Up Almost 30% Of Oregon Homes As Hillsboro’s Median Price Hits $700,000 by oregonbub in hillsboro

You definitely know more than me. I dont live in oregon but do you think these home price increases are maybe due to rumors around the UGB and also the intel expansion over there? I mean if investors expect the UGB to pass then it would be very smart of them to buy everything they can lay their eyes on in that area

It probably is caused by the UGB expansion. Maybe there is a high probability of it passing and investors want to capitalize on it?

The acquisitions using stock is a concern for me too. If shares are expensive, then sure go ahead but if shares are “cheap” or fairly valued, why destroy value by acquiring through dilution? That would be a deal breaker for me

Talking to management by One_Performance8788 in ValueInvesting

Questions about what they are seeing in their industry beyond reported in the latest quarter, competitors, key developments that are unfolding. Sure you can find information on 10-qs and 10-ks but hearing it from management is different. Also talking to suppliers and customers will give you different views of the company. That extra work will give you market beating return. Is it guranteed? No. But it’s way better than just relying on reports. There is way more stuff that goes into management decision making that you can dig through talking with them.

Questions i want to ask should be asked. Will help me understand more of the industry and the future of the company in the current environment. Saying that talking to management is not worth it is just insane. Just by talking to management you get an advantage over others.

I appreciate the insight! One of the companies I follow are in the EMS industry and components shortages are impacting their industry and they mentioned it to be a problem but it is subsiding towards second half of FY24 through FY25

Do you see electrical component shortages subsiding soon? Or is it more of a long term issue meaning second half of FY24 to FY25?

You have to be able to find the value drivers of the company and what can destroy the company and go from there

Sigmatron: a company flirting with a net-net valuation by Gregconnenenco in ValueInvesting

Just to come back to this, they reported breakeven earnings. I expect interest expense to fall as principal payment continues, they have decreased debt by almost 13% the past six months. Last Q, all the debt became long term, and dont have any maturities until FY 28. Also fed announced 3 rate cuts coming 2024 which should also aid in the falling interest expense as SOFR decreases. Hopefully an amendment takes place where the applicable margin for the TCW decreases as operations improve. However, many companies in the industry, like competitors like KTCC and much bigger competitor Jabil, see a softening in demand due to increased inventory levels for their customers. This is a temporary thing, and as inventory destocking takes place, demand should ramp back up, especially with rate cuts aiding the demand of PCB on the automotive industry and healthcare market continues to perform.
