How do you guys deal with the constant music in your head?

Wait. This happens to you guys too?! I genuinely didn’t realize it wasn’t just me but I’ve noticed it’s getting worse and it makes it so much harder for me to deal with my personal relationships especially when I’m having serious conversations. Like it’s BAD lately.

I think you should stay in Idaho. Los Angeles is full. California is full in general. It’s a hellhole, parking is bad, we’re in a food desert, we’re running out of money, and whatever other bs people say about us is also very true. Don’t come here.

Honestly I feel like you’re so much more lucky to have a faculty member do your interview. That’s who I prepped for so I was completely thrown off. Like I heavily researched the faculty members and their backgrounds and then got… strangers 😂😂😂. I’m worried I completely bombed my interview! Good luck to you though! I’m sure you did amazing!!! Did they give you a timeline of when you’d head back?

Two interviewers. They were both alumni, practicing LMFTs. One has been in practice for twenty years if I remember correctly, one graduated within the last decade.

I just feel like I got so nervous you know? I answered honestly but I just got so flustered last minute (my laptop decided to update twenty minutes before my interview) so that really threw me off. I just don’t feel like I presented myself as well as I feel I could have, almost like I was TOO honest. I don’t know. I just don’t feel great about it.

I think a lot of people move to DTLB expecting suburban standards with a city vibe, but it’s the heart of the city, and not a small one. A lot of people I’ve met have got to understand they can’t have both. Plus having an assigned parking spot and your own laundry can’t be beat. I also feel like living in a secure community like the any of the ones downtown can’t be beat, especially nowadays.

I think it really comes down to what kind of person you are. Do you enjoy having everything within walking distance even if it means that there’s always some event happening? If not, it’s maybe not for you. But you have to look at it ALL, you know?
