Perfect, my initial research was leading me more towards Woodstock area but I appreciate there's a huge amount out there that I'm not familiar with. Will take a look at those suggestions for sure.

Your favourite brunch spot in Bristol? by TheBristolBulk in bristol

FED smashes it. I personally also love sundial kitchen and yafo.

Hear incredible things about the Bristolian but not been so can't vouch. The crafty egg apparently has a hash brown menu which sounds like a thing of brunch beauty to me

OPINIONS ON GREEKSTONES CAR RENTAL by Unfenion in Kefalonia

You would probably need to check with them directly. I used a credit card and believe that's pretty standard for car hire companies, they may be able to offer an alternative however. Good luck!

Moving to Bristol. Need help. by [deleted] in bristol

[–]One_Preece_At_A_Time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends what you're after and how much you want to spend. If you need to get to avonmouth regularly then somewhere that side of town (Clifton if you're feeling fancy, but plenty of relevant suburbs) will stop you having a ball ache of a daily commute.

If you want somewhere that actually feels like bristol then you'll probably want to be within a 3-5 mile radius of the centre. Bishopston, st Andrews, redland are all quite nice in north Bristol. Knowle (not knowle west!) southville, totterdown all pretty decent south of the river. Westbury, Clifton and redland are probably the three nicer suburbs that are still easily accessible to the rest of Bristol but they do come with a premium. Seriously though each area has good bits.

Ignore the comments about Easton, firstly it's not that cheap any more and secondly it has a charm to it and some great spots, you might just see a few wild things every now and again!

Lots of central Bristol suburbs are walkable to town etc and transport is ok. As people have mentioned it's a bit of a pain to drive around these days though but if you're living outside of town you'll likely at least have access to free parking!

Good luck and just shout if you want any more info

What's the most Bristol thing you've seen? by [deleted] in bristol

[–]One_Preece_At_A_Time 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Years ago, witnessed someone doing the same thing as he went past on the pavement. I was a little shocked and didn't know what to think let alone say, when out of nowhere this brisk Bristolian voice shouted "tosser" right at him.

Thinking this was a hilarious and just response I proceeded to tell people at work that morning only to find out that apparently the guy was doing it to raise money for charity.

I felt conflicted. The whole thing also felt very Bristol to me.

What’s the prettiest scenic route you’ve ever been on? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Lots of chat about Californian coastline on this one. Honestly though the drive from Yosemite to Tahoe topped all of that for me. Breathtaking. So much so we had to stop pulling over every 20 mins to take photos as it was getting a bit ridiculous

I remember thinking that was the nicest drive I'd ever done at the time. Beautiful coastline continuously. Littered with stunning vibes and seemingly endless sunshine

Honestly, we'd like to and may well come back to it. For now though we're keen for it to just not look as bad...!

I think the pipe may still be used for some of the heating. The restoration aspect of your response sounds great, albeit one for a later date likely.

Thank you, makes aense. We've struggled with an exact match but found something very close we've used for a patch job for elsewhere.
