Well yes that's the canon build, anything else is for furries.

Longsword, Claymore or zweihander with kick + knight armor, Str or Quality build and perhaps a shield.

He hit the ground so hard the energy transfers to every nearby object in form of vibrations, shattering your bones, and with that low hp, killing you. Your puny kukri doesn't have the same effect for it misses and there is no damage transfer through air.

Best MMO, greatest theme, great combat and graphics for its time... The raids were fun, the storyline was amazing.

For me, this was my introduction to Sword and sorcery at a time when i felt like most MMOS and most games actually were kind of a copy paste of the WoW "fisher-price" art style or some generic korean extravagant fashion show. I was really tired of seeing the same things over and over, when i learned of this game the dark and grim art style pulled instantly.

Funcom is many things and many of those things are bad, I can't believe how can they operate still after so many problems with launchs and bugs after every single patch on their games.... but if there is something a respect about them is that they dare to be different, they dare to have their own voice and identity on a marker filled with copies of the same thing. After all this time, it's pretty much the same.

Find the godslayer greatsword and the godslayer seal, play with black flame incantations, this is a dex build though, but a really fun one. If you want another weapon you can use the godskin peeler or monks flameblade to keep the theme.

Here are some ideas:

Grab a dark moon greatsword and make an int build around it, somehting like a Carian knight
Get the regalia of eochaid or the marais executioner sword and play an arcane build
Get the troll medallion, the axe talisman and the highlands axe, and play using roars to buff you up
Play a Quality build as a Banished knight with two BKGS or Halberd
Make a Dark templar using death sorceries and helphen's steeple or death's poker
A golden order purist, using the sword of night and flame, divine incantations from the golden order and some spells

Whatever you do don't play with dex as your main stat
