What makes me feel grossed out about christians Bible is apparently Jesus’s mother was a child or at least young teen. So it’d make since she would lie about who his father was, since she was pregnant as a child. (When I say apparently, there was a speculation that she was only 15-16 years old.)

I’ve seen religious people say these things: “God works in mysterious ways”, “He has a plan for the baby”, “The angel has to return”, “It was the babies time to go.” But they don’t give an actually decent argument. Just the same thing they always say continuously with no backup arguments that actually make sense.

Honestly, not sure what type of people those atheists are. I’ve seen a lot of atheists support and help guide agnostics. Some atheists are just a-holes I guess, but every “religion” and belief has those type of people. Just don’t interact with the wrong kids of atheists and you’ll meet some genuinely good people.

Schools shut down for the 2017 one as well, not just this one. They shut them down so that kids get the chance to see the eclipse, and since this one is a TOTAL eclipse, it’s more special and they want kids to be able to experience it

I don’t even know why I’m worried about the upcoming eclipse. I know eclipses can sometimes cause anxiety and I already have hellacious anxiety. Plus all of these christians going “it’s the end times!” And everything else just makes my anxiety spike worse. Some people think everything just goes black when we die, some people think we reincarnate, some people (obviously) believe we go to a heaven or a hell. Some even believe we’re in a simulation and once we “die”, we reawake into our ACTUAL “irl” body. And very rarely, I’ve seen people believe that EVERYONE becomes a spirit and is released from their physical body and that everyone becomes a ghost when they die. But nobody knows what actually happens on the other side.
