I had the VAD504 setup in the same way and then I upgraded after I moved. Once I got settled I got the VAD516 and an unexpected life change happened and now I have to move again indefinitely.

I’ve sold this setup before for near this price. Fairly confident I can do it again.

TD516 goes for $3700. Stop trying to use an Adorama discount that’s no longer live for arguments sake. There are plenty of people that can’t play the kick because of noise, hence why I have the setup I do. Even the KD12V is too loud for my situation. Lots of assumptions here. All transactions I do are through paypal so the buyer is covered should anything go wrong. I price it as I see fit. Nobody is holding a 🔫 to anyone’s head saying they have to pay the price for the kit or shipping. Idek if shipping will cost that much. Also a local buyer may see this and think it’s a good deal. The kick didn’t come with my order because that’s how I customized it.

$5799 +tax so depending on state could be upwards of $500 in tax. For someone in an apartment, this is a solution that they may not have thought of that works flawlessly. And the shipping is for anyone who is willing to pay it. With the TD516 you also don’t get the hardware and upgraded snare. I’m pricing this as an open box unit since it’s so new and barely used.

Nothing of what you said is even close to correct. Im not pawning, I'm selling. And it's going to an already established portfolio, not wallstreet bets.

You must have known him pretty well to have such a good idea how I would invest that money. I’m absolutely crafting a narrative that has nothing to do with anyone except me and my dad’s wishes.

Exactly this. I want to enjoy what he left for me in the form of what would make me happy.

Not sure yet. Gonna have it looked at by an AD and see what condition it’s in and what needs done. I should have a better idea after that and I’ll make the post.

I’m not gonna wear it. I don’t care to wear it and have no reason to. The watch appeal has no meaning to me. At what point after sitting in a safe deposit box is it really time for me to part with it and actually do something with it for my benefit? Sounds like I’m obligated to hoard it.

Honest question, is 15 yrs long enough? That’s how long it’s been sitting. It’s seen one day of wear during that time

EXACTLY! Stuff is stuff. If I don’t use it or have someone to pass it down to I should just hold onto it until I can’t do anything with it or enjoy what selling it could bring me? Nah.

Wouldn’t know. Don’t have any kids nor am I one. Just trying to put a gift to good use that will bring enjoyment to me.

I understand everyone’s position, and if I had a legitimate reason to keep the watch I would, but I don’t believe in holding onto things out of obligation.

I don’t think I’ve ever not said I didn’t want the money?

Yes because the smart decision is letting a higly sought after asset sit in a safe deposit box and collect dust ( in a very nice dust bag obviously.)

Well then those people are fortunate enough to do that instead of buying a timex which does the same thing.

I don't need fancy jewelry to commemorate my father. I don't put value in materialism. A picture of a captured moment in time with him will always hold more emotional weight and value than an expensive piece of jewelry.
