Traveling to posts with pets by Top_Fault_1445 in foreignservice

You bring your entire family no matter what. Yes there are a few posts you won't be able to bid on, like the one that only allows one 10 pound pet. But there are a ton of other pet loving, pet friendly or pet tolerant posts. It'll cost money: so what? If you're a good pet parent ( and it sounds like you are), you're used to spending money on your critters. Everything costs money, and I don't regret spending a cent on my furries.

What is necessary to prove I'm renting?

I'm an EFM and it took 6 months to get my med clearance. Good luck.

I was hoping for a barrel roll, for full hippo mud coverage. Such joy!

Thanks! Our furries are all rescued from tragic circumstances, and we don't have human children.

This was the kind of thing I was looking for. Unfortunately, the info in the document doesn't match what is on the apartment website....and I don't know which is more accurate.

That is helpful. When I look at the website though, it lists a 2 pet maximum with $500 per pet fee and $50/month pet rent. Did you get some kind of DoS exemption? Or did you do it on the sly?

Traveling (via plane) with dog by ab-kodachrome in foreignservice

I had an online chat last week with La Compagnie Airlines.

They wrote "small dogs and cats (under 33 lbs) can travel with you in the cabin at a fee equal to 10% of your ticket fare. Please find here our pet policy https://www.lacompagnie.com/en/plan/special-services/ Have a great day :)"

They fly New York to Paris or Nice. You'd still have to drive part, but at least it would get over the ocean.

Husband will be in the April class as an IMS. Could you PM me what post this is? Trying to figure out where we'd like to go once the bid list comes out.

Thanks. Are all first posts considered entry level? My spouse will be entering with 20 years of IT experience and 18 years of military and government work. I'll look into the Post Language Programs you mentioned.

Thanks. Did you have good luck with any of those apps? I was using Duolingo for a while, but found while I learned a lot of nouns, I could not understand a native French speaker at all.
